The death of Christ is not a lie
His rising was no game
Too many martyrs chose to die
To glorify His name
Who would die a hoax to play?
Knowing their future well
Standing before their God some day
They’d fear they’ll go to hell
Too many lived and walked with Christ
Who saw Him on The Tree...
Who can ascend God’s holy hill?
Who can call God his friend?
Who can declare he’s done God’s will
And so his soul defend
Can you with heart and soul deny?
That sin has held your hand
So innocent you’ll never die
As God has always planned
Can you stand Jesus face to face?
Stand eye to eye...
A shallow soil receives no root
Nor superficial ground
From thus a tree can bear no fruit
And no rewards are found
Address the land address the seed
Plough deep the fallowed soil
Remove the rocks the clustered weed
Obstructing fervent toil
Afford no time to shifting sand
