Today I will give the years from Adam to Christ straight from the Bible.
Before beginning the timeline I would like to give proof on the prophecy concerning how many years it would be from Adam to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Genesis 3:15 is God prophesying to Adam and Eve that the Messiah will come to wound the Serpent. In Exodus 25:10 we read when the Messiah will do this. God commissioned Moses to build the Ark of the Covenant with the following dimensions:
2.5 Cubits (L) x 1.5 Cubits (W) x 1.5 Cubits (H)
When we add the above figures the sum is 5.5 Cubits. Now each cubit represents 1,000 Years while each half cubit represents 500 Years: therefore from the time of Adam to Jesus Christ are 5,500 Years. This is only one witness, scripture requires two or more witness to establish the truth of every matter.
Our second witness comes from the vision of Daniel's seventy weeks (Daniel 9:1-2, 20-27):
70 Weeks × 7 Years = 490 Years
Sadly most end their calculations here and ignore the significance of this number...
49 Years × 10 Jubilees = 490 Years
490 Years + 10 Years = 500 Years
Why is 500 Years significant? Because when we subtract it from the first 6,000 Years for the world:
6,000 Years - 500 Years = 5,500 Years

The reason for the above numbers is because Jacob was 130 years old which made Joseph 39 years old when his family came down to Egypt with two years of famine having expired with five years remaining. Four years before this makes Joseph 35 years old and places us during the first five years of plenty with two more years remaining. When we subtract 39 from 130 we get 91 which is when Jacob would've gave birth to Joseph:
130 Years (Jacob) - 39 Years = 91 (Jacob)
39 Years (Joseph) - 39 Years = 0 (Joseph's birth)
130 Years (Jacob) + 17 Years = 147 (Jacob's death)
39 Years (Joseph) + 17 Years = 56 (Joseph)
56 Years (Joseph) + 54 Years= 110 (Joseph)
The above calculations show the consistency in scripture tracing the birth of Joseph to the arrival of Jacob and his family in Egypt to the death of Jacob and finally to the death of Joseph.

Years from Levi to Moses:

Unfortunately not much detail is given with the life of Aaron and Moses' father Amram. We may gather that by the time Aaron was twelve and Moses nine, Amram died sometime after, leaving seventy one years until Moses and Aaron were to appear in front of Pharaoh.
Years from Adam to Death of Moses:
2,500 Years
The above reckoning is much harder to trace from the time that the last of Jacob's sons die to the death of Moses. But it can be solved with a little creativity:
2,500 Years - 2,309 Years = 191 Years
If we subtract the life of Moses from the difference above we get...
191 Years - 120 Years (Moses) = 71 Years
Now we add...
2,309 Years + 71 Years = 2,380 Years
2,380 Years + 120 Years = 2,500 Years
The above is significant because the 71 Years represents one year for each of Jacob's descendants, while the life of Moses reflects three periods of testing (120 Years ÷ 3 = 40 Years).
While the timeline from the succession of Moses by Joshua to king David is difficult to follow, thankfully God gave the short and quick answer:
1 Kings 6:1
Years from Joshua to King Solomon:
480 Years
Years from Adam to King Solomon's Temple:
2,980 Years + 20 Years = 3,000 Years
With the proof of Christ's coming we see that Christ's birth, death, and resurrection would not occur until 2,500 Years after Solomon built his house and the Temple of God. This is how many in the church know that the earth is near 6,000 years old but, they will not share these things with you. Let us remember that we are lambs dwelling in the midst of wolves and, to be as wise as serpents and as harmless as doves.
