I know acting on feelings is fraught with danger. Just the point I want to make here is that whatever we get "stuck" with in life, make the most of it. Even if I have a "dull" task, I try to make it enjoyable. When I had a cleaning job, I would sometimes do the list of tasks in reverse order. Or I would keep a list of record times I completed the whole job in. Or I would do the least pleasurable task first, so it was over and done with.
When I go for a walk, I'll vary it. Not the same one all the time. If I am driving to work, I will vary the route now and then. I will listen to various radio stations or music I have never listened to before.
When I have to do a major clean at home, I'll either put on some music or listen to the football if it is on the weekend.
Interestingly though, I have found that my dog doesn't care. I can take him to the same park at the same time, play the same game and give him the same treat. He will be thrilled just to get out of the back garden for a while. If only we humans were as easy to please.
