I looked round today and
All I saw was ash,
The ash of my life, spent,
The flame gone out, dead dreams on the ground in rubble.
The scene was bleak, my eyes
Beheld no beauty,
All was ugly, spent now,
I stood there stripped, knowing I could not pick up ash.
Dreams disintegrated,
Hope gone...
I cry in grief,
For all that I have lost,
I cannot see, I cannot walk,
How can
I sing?
In this strangest of all dark lands,
How can I sing Your song?
My Babylon
Holds me.
I hear
The water play
Sweet music in my ears,
I rest, and bathe my soul, refreshed
I rise,
I know
That I am not alone, you...
Geese flew over one night
Out of the sunset
Glorious in their flight
Silhouetted, adept,
Concentrating on one quest, going home to rest.
Many times I'd seen them,
Heard them chattering,
A message came clear then,
God in their flying,
The message was "I love you, just keep on going".

I want to live today
Once I almost died,
But now I'm here to stay,
I fought, how I tried,
While everyone around me saw my state and cried.
Cancer took all I had,i
Helpless there I lay,
In pain that drove me mad,
All I did was pray
But I survived its fiercest onslaught, now I'm glad.
But what...
We make our own Hope
When all is black around us
Pushing through the dark.
Sometimes
Dead weights hold us
Bad things that we don’t need,
We don’t realise that we can fly
Until
The time
That we let go, then, much lighter,
We find ourselves soaring,
On eagle’s wings,
Flying.
Ripples
Spread far and wide,
Disturbing still waters,
Drawing others in as they grow,
Touching,
Healing,
Restoring what’s lost, making whole,
Let yourself be disturbed,
Open yourself
To Love.
Hope finds me crying
Takes me firmly by the hand
Gives me back my faith
With a gift of roses you touched my world,
One where I lived in my isolation,
Cut off by blindness, my anguish unfurled,
In a silence of sore separation,
I ached for a touch that would break my pain,
Something to bring life to my hurting soul,
Of comfort there seemed not even a grain,
