The world which man has created in our own image, has a set pattern. We do things out of a tradition, based upon putting our own will ahead of the Will of the Father. Although mankind may not think of it, in doing so we are technically doing things backwards to the ways of the Kingdom.
We were given bold evidence to this when the people of Judah expected an earthly king to set them free of oppression while Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world (a point few still fully understand today). Everything from His birth to His way of life and teachings, was contrary to what mankind would expect of a Saviour. He did not act in ways we would expect authourity to act. He didn’t play the role.
Oddly, people all through history and especially today, follow the same pattern when studying scripture. They, as an example, start at the front of the book and work their way through, failing to be taught first and to focus on not only the man, but most importantly on His Gospel of the Kingdom in which He told us the good news that God was coming to reverse the traditional ways of man and His Will would be done first, not ours.
If people first understood this, they would reverse procedure and jump to the latter part of the book first to find out who dunit, so to speak. That is to say, they would focus on the message of the Man before all else, leaving the rest of the Book, the backstory for later as a matter of interest and see it as a history of man’s failure to put God’s Will first. We would also find that Jesus came to right a wrong that started before our creation. God has always sought, first and foremost, to remove adversity to His Will from the wills of both elohim and man. We are but part of a bigger picture.
It is advisable to seek the Will of the Father first as given in Jesus’ two commandments, thus reversing our thinking (and in turn, leaving those who wish to teach everything but, behind) until one is secure in the only Gospel Jesus taught about a Kingdom contrary to the thinking and actions of this world. Only then should they pursue, as a hobby perhaps, the history and backstory that Christianity, churches and even home teachers dwell on. This instead of the focal point we still seem to ignore. All through the Bible, starting in the Garden, God tells us to put His will first, but our history shows few listened. Jesus came and finally told us outright why we should repent of this behaviour, yet even religion looks for loopholes.. Of course, to be realistic, tradition has taught us to do so. Time to start with fresh eyes and reject tradition, as even the religion had/has returned itself to worldly ways while professing to represent the Kingdom.
