Its Been over 4 years since I last posted on Christian forums.
Many will remember me as Redeemed_warrior.
One of the major changes in my Life since then is the most important of all
My walk with Jesus Christ has taken a radical overhall, While i was always to my mind "a good christian" it wasn't till i really began studying the gospels that i saw how short of the mark i truly was.
just saying you are a christian is a badge, just like you wear member of some sports team.
Following Jesus is something entirely different,
Jesus was/Is Radical, his teachings aren't the over burdened religion of man which many are raised to follow, they are simple to their core yet in the simplicity comes the amazing truth
Forgive or you won't be forgiven
Turn the other cheek
The importance of helping the poor
Defending the defenseless
Freeing the oppressed
Isaiah 58
Also other big changes
When i was here last time I loved star wars, seriously it was clear from my posts,avatars. signatures that i was a SW Fan to the core.
That all changed 2 years ago, the more i looked into some things about it the more uneasy i become about the new age aspects to the force and such
so on October the 11th 2010 i did what i would once have though unthinkable.
I removed every item of star wars merchandise i had and threw it in the trash, 100 novels, every SW video game ever made, action figures.
Honestly i've not missed it at all, and i feel my life has improved drastically since there both spiritually and physically
I've got a fantastic job which is a gift from God, While i've never been to college or even trained professionally for IT, i have been blessed with a gift in that area.
Now i work full time for a medical company as their website tech/adviser earning a good wage, given free gadgets (ipod,tablet pc etc)
Am i more serious about things?
Oh yes much so, yet i still have alot of fun!
Playing a whole new set of games since tossing my starwars ones, sometimes running a farm, sometimes riding with a posse of freedom fighters in a medieval action rpg.
I've been blessed with an incredible friend in Ellesar (laura) whom i enjoy talking with every day.
A great friend and "Boss" in Jo (Flaglady) whom i work with at my paying job
Last but certainly not least
I have the love and support of my loving Family, who without their strength and guidance i wouldn't be all i am today.
I hope to get to know my old friends again and see how you have all been doing
