Today has been an okay day so far. I just realized that there was not a single SI thought during my shift today. Huzzah.
So my work week is over. (I feel so official calling it that. Hehe.) No one came for tutoring, which is acceptable, I suppose, since it is summer and they probably just want to get the classes done with the least possible effort. And walking all the way across campus for work on a paper - that is obviously too much effort.

I am busy looking at c28.com - clearance stuff. I found a pair of shoes that I really like... yes, I am a girl, so I am allowed to like shoes... be addicted to shoes... whatever.
I do like the Converse style, though - actually have a pair that I got for about a quarter of the original price - they are "hibiscus" (i.e., coral-y pink) and shocked Jarrod when he first saw them.
Okay. End of girl shoe-talk. *giggle*
I made quite a lot of headway in Virginia Woolf's journals yesterday and today. I'm also reading Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez (pardon the lack of accented vowels)... it is pretty good so far (okay, so I am on p.10), promises to be very interesting. Those are the ones that I am "working on" the most right now... I have yet to start my next Daniel Silva book (The Messenger - thrillers) and I also have a bunch of other books lined up for the summer. I should made a "to be read" list, so I know for sure what I want to read. (Good idea, April. Maybe I'll do that today!
)
Not much else of note going on. Jarrod came over last night and it was trés pleasant. We cuddled and talked for awhile, although I have to admit that supper was not a good meal for me. I got upset about 2430983 different things, and that detracted from the enjoyment of the meal (just bc Jarrod was there, food isn't that enjoyable). So I went down to my room as soon as I'd finished, and after Jarrod had finished, he came down and spent the rest of the evening (an hour before he had to leave) there with me, just chatting and snuggling. Yey for fiancés.
It's hard to imagine that some people - even engaged people - don't have as good a relationship as we do. And yes, I would definitely classify our relationship as a very good one. We are very lucky to have each other, and are also very lucky to get along so well. We do have our rough spots, and will have more, but we usually get over whatever upsets there are within the day that they occur, or definitely by the next day. (If we argue in the evening and don't resolve it that day, though, neither of us sleeps well. Heh. Guess Paul [was it Paul?] was right when he said that conflicts shouldn't sit overnight.)
Blah.
