Wrestling against Demons that hate me for the Truth!

I will tell this story whether or not people will believe me or not. After I logged off my Computer last night, The Lord gave me a important message that will help keep me on my feet. He had told me that there are jealous evil spirits that have deep hatred for me because I expose the Lies they plant within the Church that many are not aware of or consider silly. Even daily I am accused by Satan on the streets where I oftentimes fellowship with some of my brethren and minister to some who need Salvation , men and women with evil spirits within them walk past me and call me satan or a liar, these spirits seek to find fault within me. Oh yes, we all have faults!

This has been going on since I was little and there is a reason for it that I will not share because no one will believe me. Last night I literally wrestled with an evil spirit who despised me, the spirit was pushing against my right shoulder, and it was if I was in a shoving match with it. I pushed with my right shoulder with all my might and pushed this evil spirit into the window that led outside and it departed and left.

I awoke this morning completely drained and used all my might to awake and was late to work. But God Bless The Lord supplied me with sustenance. I ate whole wheat bread(Untoasted)which someone had brought to work, it didn't taste to good, but my stomach was filled.

Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Did you know that God will never give you a message that can't be confirmed by scripture?

May I ask what scriptures you found to confirm that this was a message from God?

Did you know that Jesus taught us that spirits do not have flesh and bone? May I ask how you were able to "wrestle" with a spirit that doesn't have flesh and bone?

I'm also curious, why, if a spirit, not bound by physical barriers would need to be "pushed out a window".

I will certainly pray for you but I'm sure that you'll understand if I'm a little skeptical, since none of your story appears to line up with scripture and since you haven't given us any to show that any of this is possible or any that you have used to confirm that this is a message from God.

Please understand, I don't mean to sound harsh, but if you're going to say that you've gotten a message from God, then you need to back it up for several reasons.

The first is that it's taking the Lord's name in vain, if not outright blasphemy, to attribute a message to God that isn't.

The second is that it's dangerous to attribute things to God that aren't of God. It's very easy to end up following our own feelings or imagination or what Paul called, "vain superstitions".

The third is that there really is a Devil and there really are sinister spirits who want to mislead you. The Bible tells us that Satan comes as an angel of light in order to decieve us. You really need to know who's talking to you and you can't do this without scripture.

Like I said, please don't think that I'm coming down on you or ridiculing you. I really hope that you'll take some time to think about these things.

John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I guess you minus well discount all the preachers who say to the church members that "This is what the Holy Spirit told me!"

You seem to not realize How demons operate, you seem to think that since demons are non-corporeal beings that they are not able of physcial force, quite the contrary. I'm sure you have heard of poltergeists, Poltergeists are demonic spirits that at often time manifest themselves. Some other time I will provide you with a story which will surprise you.

No, I'm not discounting anything. Aside from the fact that you're misapplying this verse, to say that what the Holy Spirit tells you is true because Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will tell you the truth is circular reasoning. You're still not testing what you say the Holy Spirit told you.

If they say that the Holy Spirit told them something and don't test it by scripture and don't encourage you to test it by scripture, then you're right. I either ignore them or, if appropriate, rebuke them.

My question to you was, if Jesus taught that spirits "have not flesh and bone", then how could you have "literally wrestled" with one or pushed it out a window? Further, if a spirit does not have flesh and bone and isn't bound by physical limitations, then why was in necessary for you to push it out of a window, assuming it were possible to push one out a window?

Honestly, and I don't mean to be rude, I'm not interested in anecdotes. I'm asking you where this is found in scripture. If it can't be reconciled with scripture, then it's rubbish.

I agree and I'm not trying to discourage him but anytime you start saying "God told me this" or "The Holy Spirit told me that", that's pretty serious and you need to be able to discern what is of God and what isn't.

If you don't, that's how even well meaning Christians get decieved. This is precisely why God tells us to test all things in light of scripture.

Take it from someone who was caught up in the WoF movement because I didn't examine what people told me God was saying. It can happen.

Reminds me of the old Whiteheart song, "Power Tools".

I have had several "wrestling matches" with demon.... but they all have appeared in spirit, and had to fight them with the spirit, praying in tongues, rebuking them, and tell them they have no rights, they were defeated at the cross, and I am washed and pure in the blood of Jesus. They have been in my room, but only in spirit form... that is all I know from my own personal experience.

you are not alone in this one. I have also have gone through this sort of thing ever since I was little also and I still deal with it ever now and then.

This is not your fight. Neither is it your focus. Your Abba is your Defender, your Rock, a very present help in times of trouble. You are weak. He is not. It is He they are to face, not you. You are safe in the cleft of the Rock, under His wings.

There's a song that says it all. It's called 'The Battle Is The Lord's". And indeed it is. Do not step into the ring with anything evil. That is what they prefer that you do. When anything that is not of God comes a'knockin' just let Jesus answer the door.

Focus more and more on praising God, thanking Him and worshipping Him. It disarms the enemy. Perfect love casts out fear. God is not the author of confusion.

Peace is what God grants us. Your peace is in knowing that God is our Defender. He is the epitome of love and in His presence hate dissolves. It cannot stand. Focus on Him. Not on the forces that have convinced you that it is your battle. It isn't.

yes,I agree. I find by reading God's Word,listening to Christian music in the house helps me. I try to stay close to God as possible. It scares the spooks away!

Responding to the OP, I agree with most of what you said. Many people have suffered and fought hard like this before. Just last Friday, a youth helper that returned from a mission said to us that the spiritual battles he waged were more conspicuous than a physical fight between two people. He could easily detect how the demons tried to prevent people from being saved, and how the missionaries had nightmares, and thus lacked proper night rest.

That somehow discouraged me a little, but one should never forget the power of prayer. For in ourselves we have no power, but only in dependance on God may we be safe, and be successful. "With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."-Eph 6:18

yes and that scripture Eph 6:18 fits perfectly. I even keep my children fed by having them read daily devotionals. We also had problems with this thing bothering my oldest son in his room. It started leaving him alone after he started reading.
