Superstitious nonsense.

It's tragic that people were murdered, but if I liked the house and the location, I'd paint the walls, replace the flooring, and have no problem living there.

Would you live in a house than a human was murdered in?
Would you live in a house that a spider was squashed in?

Just different paths down the evolutionary tree.

Why is murder so different from others deaths?

I think I live in a house where at least one of the previous owners died. I did not pry, perhaps she died in the hospital. My father died at home and mom still lives there.

Nothing strange about death, we can all expect it to happen sooner or later.

Sure - probably get it at a discount, too.

I believe they exist in some people's imaginations. But not in a house where someone was killed. Or anywhere else in the real world.

I wouldn't care, as long as there are no visible signs of the deed.

I ain't afraid of no ghost.

Not would I. Actually there is far more reason for concern with any death from disease or unknown causes. Deadly mold anyone? Not much cause mind you, but far more than related to a murder.

Now buying the residence of a mass murder might be a different story, in that case there is reason to think that 'visible signs of the deed' might be waiting to pop up with the next remodel or when you run TV cable through the attic.

No. As per my profile, I'm a naturalist. I don't believe in anything supernatural. Not gods, devils, demons, angels, spirits, ghosts, poltergeists, heaven, hell, afterlife, haunting, possession, witches, warlocks, gnomes, elves, faeries, mediums, channeling, levitation, mental telepathy, clairvoyance, clairaudience, necromancy, curses, spells, black or white magic, voodoo, zombies, vampires, werewolves, unicorns, mermaids, centaurs, dragons, jackalopes, Leviathan, Bigfoot, the Yeti, the Loch Ness monster, or Cthulhu. Just to name a few.
