The thought of dying terrifies me like nothing else because I don't believe anyone gets eternal salvation until the time of the Second Coming. So if I dont know what happens from the moment of death until that time, I certainly would never want to know when that period of completely uncertainty is going to happen.

Surely the words of the apostle Paul in regards to death, as well as the willingness by Christians to die in the first 300 years of Christian persecution, should bring us all some comfort If anything, let this give you some peace of mind:

For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. [Colossians 3:3-4]
