When you make a joke you are suppose to add a smile face. Of course the skeptics, scoffers and infidels have google filled with their propaganda.
No, the errors in regards to numerical amounts alone make for a decent number of contradictions. Heck, the bible says you will get animals with stripes if you breed their parents and make them look at while branches while they do. I challenge you to make that work every time without the parents having stripes.

The whole point of the story of Jacob is that he understood genetics. He made a deal with his father in law so that he would get the speckled and spotted sheep and his father in law got all the rest of them. So then Jacob separated the sheep so that the speckled and spotted sheep would prosper and his father in law would end up empty handed. The shepherds had already learned how to bred the sheep even back in Jacobs day. This is known as animal husbandry, and they still use this term at the universities. The Hebrew people understood husbandry and they knew how to bred animals. This is what it means to domesticate animals. This is what the dawn of civilization was all about. Shepard dogs are smarter then hunting dogs because the Shepherds know and understood breeding better then the hunter gather people. The sheep did their mating when they came together to drink the water. So Jacob used the sticks to make pens so that he could mate the animals he wanted to mate to produce the offspring that he wanted to produce. As you know this is the difference between selective breeding and natural selection.

But that only shows they knew animal husbandry. They certainly did not know about genetics. No-one in that time period knew about alleles and mutations in the DNA.

I challenge you to make that work ANY time without the parents having stripes or the recessive stripe gene.

Darwin did not know anything about DNA but he was able to come up with the theory of natural selection.

Photographer no, not really. Sometimes I buy old photography equipment and try to get it to work. But I am more into renovation. A lost art in a world where they want to tear it down throw it and build a new one. I know the part about the aperture and how wide you open it and how long you open it. But I am not smart enough to figure out how to do that and get good pictures.

Besides the point. Darwin actually had scientific knowledge of biology when he started his thesis on evolution by natural selection.
They had zero knowledge of anything similar when the Bible was written.

Moses invented anagrams?

So your argument is just that if a book doesn't contradict itself it must be true?

Wouldn't the fact that they think (or find it worthy to write) that breeding animals and making them look at something while they do, would somehow influence the appearance of the offspring, demonstrate a limited knowledge of animal husbandry, even for the time period? Regardless as to the "moral of the story", it doesn't change the fact that incorrect details are there.
