They don't clone the genetically engineered animals, clones and genetically engineered creatures are produced by a different process.

The big issue with cloning is that cloned animals are often sickly.
I have no idea what you just said.

Genetically engineered creatures are clones, aren't they?

Are you saying they don't clone clones?

Why don't they clone endangered species, if they want to clone something?

No, genetically engineered/modified creatures are not clones, not necessarily in any means of defining that term.

Cloning has a high failure rate, and requires typically a working womb of the species in question. Which means it is less efficient than typical reproduction in most cases. And again, clones are more sickly than natural offspring.

Okay ... let's start over ... shall we?

I'm confused.
we have literally cloned animals
Why don't they clone endangered species, if they're so big on cloning?

Cloning as of recent years is viewed as a dead practice, in the case of cloning whole animals, due to its cost and inefficiency. My response was to someone who was claiming cloning had never been done before, and that DNA wasn't real, for that matter.
