... so Noah could have walked across to New Jersey and used the pine barrens.
No.

Noah LIVED in New Jersey -- for hundreds of years.

God told Adam to replenish the earth, and by the time Noah showed up ... well ... he was born and raised in [what is now] New Jersey.

He died in Mesopotamia though.

Say someone lived in Boston, and over hundreds of years their offspring lived in Los Angeles.

Then God visits one of them in LA and tells him to build an ark.

After a great flood, the LA resident finds himself in the mountains on the east coast.

Years later, God pulls the east and west coasts apart and a great ocean separates the two halves by thousands more miles.

What used to be a 3000 mile trip from Boston to LA, is now a 6000 mile trip, including crossing an ocean.

Uh huh, and you think he or his ancestors got there by land before Europe split from North America. My counterargument still applies, regardless of whether it was Noah or his ancestors who made that trek. In biblical times, there was no way to get from Mesopotamia to New Jersey by land.

Which says nothing about the fact that you have repeatedly said that you believe that Noah was from New Jersey.
Thats right.

Noah was born and raised in [what is now] New Jersey.

In my opinion.

The New Jersey pine barrens, expansion of families over thousands of years.

Can you think of a better place he lived?

In my opinion.

But your opinion has no basis in the Bible or history. Your idea is just nonsensical.

Yeah. Mesopotamia.

You're entitled to your opinion.

Yeah. Mesopotamia.
God kicked Adam & Eve out of the Garden; Cain went and lived in Nod; when they hung around a tower in Babel, God confused their tongues; when the Disciples hung around Jerusalem, God allowed persecution.

When God says move out, He means it.

You're entitled to your opinion.

And yet your opinion, which you seem to think is a fact, is less worthwhile than mine.

God kicked Adam & Eve out of the Garden; Cain went and lived in Nod; when they hung around a tower in Babel, God confused their tongues; when the Disciples hung around Jerusalem, God allowed persecution.

When God says move out, He means it.

And yet, still nothing that shows why you believe that Noah lived in New Jersey. Nothing.

By that he meant let the animals out and go have children.
I was talking about Adam & Eve -- not Noah.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Why are you guys indulging this garbage rather than ignoring it?

When you skin your knee and a big, ugly scab grows over the injury, you know you shouldn't pick at it, and yet...

"Replenish...." that's an interesting word, don't you think?

And you get 'Noah was born in Jersey' from that how?

Never thought about this until just now!!---hhhmmmmm----if all the water is in one place, then does that mean that it was like one giant island????
Yes, and we call it Pangaea.
Or was it elongated somehow with narrow and wide places, but still with the seas all around it?? Could have been shaped in many ways and still have the seas in one place---what brought this up???
You can see the layout on page 1.

It is indeed.

It's like the word "reward."

The "re-" in "replenish" is not a prefix.

Actually, it is.

"re-" from the Latin meaning "again," and "-plenish" from the Latin "plenus," which means "full"

"Reward," by the way, is a variant from the Anglo-Norman "reguard," in which the "re-" is also indeed a prefix.

0 for 2, AV -- you tried to debate the English Language with the wrong person, didn't you?

Oh, well.

You're the one confused, not I.

I understand it to mean "filler up!"

You understand wrongly, as usual.

Sounds more like you're trying to redefine words to suit yourself -- "King James' English" doesn't mean squat when it disagrees with you, does it?
