Thank you for the welcome. Music is what really drew me to the Orthodox Church. I was a P&W leader for years in several churches (non-denom, baptist) in the 90's. But the whole genre changed so much as the 2000's rolled in. I no longer saw it as edifying because the lyrics moved away from scripture and the whole scene became more performance focused than congregational focused, IMO. I still like the earlier scripture songs - they are a great way to learn the Word of God and be encouraged.

I agree with you; which is why most of my music threads are from videos made in the 90's and early 2000's. I wished it wasn't so; although there are a few exceptions to that.
