Well, this is my introduction. I'm not sure what to say except that I'm a single 28yo male, a Pentecostal Christian, a devoted servant of God and my church, I run sound@my church and I'm a techie. I like long walks on the beach(sike) and short walks in my room(true). I found this site via googling a 'christian version' of yahoo answers because I'm tired of not having someone to talk to. There are things that I can talk to anyone about, but then things I can't even 'process of elimination' select a friend to talk to about. I figured, I know there is someone who can help. Maybe someone who when i need it can give me an answer other than "read your bible and pray". Now don't get me wrong, I believe fully in the power of both and I'm not lessening the power in saying this but sometimes you need a human to human response. Sometimes you need someone to tell you things like, "have you tried this?" or, "here's what I did." But most importantly, sometimes we just need someone to tell us that we're not alone, that there are others dealing with the same issues you are. Someone who will relate.

This, is why I joined. Sometimes I feel that there are people in my own church who instead of asking me if somethings wrong, will go to a friend and say, "what's his problem, all I asked was (...) he's always (...) and he just needs to (...)" The only reason I know this is because I have been present when it happens to others. Sometimes I defend, sometimes I walk away, other times I say nothing. I can safely say that I don't engage. But, I see it happen. So here, I hope to accomplish the opposite of that. Meaning the ability to help me get to the root of any problem I may have in order to help me express the correct way of going about these things with friends and other co-church workers in the hopes to nurture the unity of the church as a family.

My hopes are to find people here that have no relation other than the instances themselves. I would love to talk to people who are totally objective to the person/place and have legitimate help of an extensive generic point of view with a dash or heaping spoonful of spirituality. I know that my readings and devotions help me to live a good christian life. And I know that prayer puts me out of the equation in order to receive word from the spirit and not act on my own. But, I believe that encounter with other people help us react in the carnal in a spiritual context. Here, I hope I can do this, and here, I hope to take digital refuge.

Well, so much for not knowing what to say. I guess I had it in me to say exactly what was necessary to get my point across without saying anything really. More so, the God of great wisdom has helped me to get it out so that I don't explode one day. So again, hopefully I can take refuge here when needed. Thanks for reading, and thanks for the time. Hope to chat with some of you soon. God Bless!

Hello!!

Welcome to Christian Forums! I am so glad that you decided to join the site. This site is full of wonderful Christians who love to praise God, fellowship and just have a good time. I am sure that you will quickly meet many new brothers and sisters in Christ. If you are wondering where a good place to get started on the site would be, I would recommend that you check out the Edification and Life Stages boards. Edification allows you to participate in Biblical studies, to ask other Christians questions, and to post prayer requests. Life Stages is designed for people to meet and talk to people at different stages in their lives. There are many more options on this site, and if you would like for me to recommend some more for you please feel free to send me a private message.

To access the men's forum you will have to request access.
There is a sticky thread in the How To Forum to request access:
If you have trouble accessing the Men's forum - post here.

You need 50 posts to be able to include links/images in your posts.

You need 100 posts to be able to participate in the chat box.

I would also recommend that you check out the Blessings Exchange. This board allows you to play games and participate in fellowship threads to earn extra blessings, the site's currency. You can use your blessings for such things as purchasing items for your Living Avatar or creating a Pet.

The simplest way to earn blessings is by posting. You may earn anywhere from 5-10 blessings per post depending on post size. You may also get a Job here at Christian Forums to earn extra blessings. All you are required to do is post and collect your salary every week! The more you post, the more blessings you earn. You must have at least 100 posts to select a job. After you start earning blessings, you can deposit those blessings in a savings account at the Christian Forums Bank. By depositing your blessings in a savings account, you are able to collect a 1% interest on those savings each week! I do advise you to only deposit blessings once per week since the timer resets each time you deposit or withdraw blessings.

Two forums to easily add posts in are Blessing Exchange and the Recreation Room.
In the Forum Number Games forum (under Rec Room) you can simply count.

If you have any forum related questions, just click here. If you still have questions, feel free to send me a private message and I'll do the best I can to help.
