• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

God does love you and always will as long as you open up your heart to him, keep the faith and trust in him. We all, at some time in our lives suffer. Some more than others. One day we will know the reasons for this and there are many clues in the bible which address this.In fact it's very strange, i just refered to the following passage for another post.

1

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4

And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

I hope that helps you in some way. God bless you and may Gods peace and light shine apon you.

Rokedwin,
Precious one, HE does love you. He loves you so much HE let the wicked and the foolish beat Him and nail Him to the cross, spilling His perfect blood that HE could become YOUR sacrifice for your sin. Jesus knows you and has seen WHAT you will become. HE thinks you are worth the sacrifice HE made. HE says that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Inside of you rests giftings and talents that will benefit others in the Body of Christ. (I know, for I walked in rebellion refusing to draw close to Him, afraid of drawing close to Him and keeping Him at arms length until my life hit the bottom of the barrel. Like the rebellious lamb, I had to have my legs broke, making me totally dependant on HIM, so he could get my attention!!! Don't be as foolish as I was, listen to His voice now as HE calls to you. Let HIM set your feet on the path HE has for you. It won't be perfectly easy but it WILL BE WORTH IT!!!
Each of us faces trials and tribulations, that is what this life is since man gave dominion of the earth to satan and his demons. However, when we learn to walk intimately with Jesus, HE gives us final victory over the enemy. As Christian brothers and sisters we must reach out to one another in love to help when another of us is down. What you have seen here Rokedwin, is just this. People reaching out to you. Caring about you and what you are facing. We cannot guarantee life will be without challenge, all we can do is let you know, there IS a hope for us, HIS name is JESUS!
{{{BIG HUG}}} Jesus, please touch my little brother with Your loving embrace, let him know Your love for him has never diminished. Bless him Jesus and provide for all his needs abundantly. Most of all Jesus, open his eyes to the incredible future you have in store for him.
:amen:

Be blessed Rokedwin and if you need to PM, feel free to anytime if you think I could help.
 ~Cyberwing

The best advice I can give to anyone this depressed is to tell you with great confidence that it does get better. We have stages in life and some stages are better than others.

But even more importantly is to remind you that God gives us gladness of heart, true joy, and satisfaction. That is given freely to us...and if you don't understand that yet, just wait. When the lightbulb finally goes on and you "get it," your life will change.

I don't mean to belittle your youth...but I'm now 56 and well remember the depression I faced at 18. It did pass...and so will yours...if you just can learn to relax and enjoy God. Not try to please Him. Just ENJOY Him.

Why would he put us here? It seems so useless...if hes God why does he need a bunch of stupid people running around the world?...theres no point to this... What kind of big plan could he possibly have? So everything I do is because of God plan...so if I screw up, off to hell I go?...great....I feel loved...I dont understand...He doesnt love me...or else he would help me....He could end it all right now...I dont feel any love from anyone else either...isnt that what life is about? love?
he hasn't helped you cause you don't believe he will. god will tear us down as far as we will go to teach us to depend on him...you need him...stop your complaining, stop trying to figure it out...go be by yourself...and cry...cry and cry and scream for him...tell him you can't do it alone, tell him how you feel, and tell him you can't do anything anymore with out him and then...this is the hard part, you have to have faith that he will help you, cause if you don't have that faith, he won't do it...

Ive read a lot of your posts (I lurk)...and you seem to help a ton of people out...im sure God is very proud of you, so am I and I thank you...maybe one day we can have a chat in heaven :)

That's a lovely thing to say.

I’ve been going through a similar turmoil.

So if you hadn’t reached out to your brothers and sisters in Christ, I would not have been blessed by your bravery in that step of reaching out or by the replies. Believe me, this thread has helped save my sanity. :pink:

If you feel there’s no reason you’re going through this, think of it like this - we all have been given a ministry of comfort, including the ones that need comforting. Just lean in to God & let Him heal you and help you and comfort you. Eventually He will use your suffering for His glory and you will be blessed for it. And don’t be so hard on yourself, take care of yourself.

Read the bible loads & pray for understanding & for God to show you what He wants to speak into your situation. Also, listen to Christian music - it helps loads.

Love in Christ,
Garcookie
