The Jews didn't expect the end times until the dead were raised en masse. Not merely resuscitated (they know of resuscitations via the stores of Elijah and Elisha), but resurrected to a new, glorified state of being.

The amazing thing about Christ's resurrection is it takes the end of time and slams it smack dab in the middle of human history.

So, we've been living in the end of ages since the resurrection.

WARNING. THE ANSWER- TWO RAPTURES MAY PRODUCE HOSTILE AND EVEN VIOLENT REACTIONS FROM FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIANS.

Evaluating Premillennialism: Part II - Christ’s Return and the Rapture by Cornelis P. Venema

No evaluation of Dispensational Premillennialism may ignore its teaching of a two-phased return of Christ, the first phase of which is commonly known as the rapture.

There is absolutely no doubt that we are living in the end times, the Last Days of a system of things.
Just before Jesus was killed his disciples came to him and ahowed Jesus the great buildings and the temple. Jesus told them that not a stone would remain upon a stone and not be torn down. Jesus' disciples asked him when these things would be, and also the SIGN of his presence and the conclusion of the system of things, Matt 24:1-3.
Jesus went on to outline a great many signs that would help his disciples to know that Jesus had come into his Kingdom power, ruling in the midst of his enemies until God put all under his feet. Jesus mentioned may things to look for throughout the chapter Matt 24. Sll these things were the same things tha would be going on throughout history, so in order to tell the time these things must be on an unprecedented scale.
WARS- Since 1914 more people have been killed in wars than in all the years since Jesus gave the prophech, in the first century.
Famine- we have already had famine such as has never b eenon earth, and the near future bodes bad for even worse famine.
Pestilences- Spanish influenza killed 50 t0 100 million in just a few months. Aides, and many more to come according to C D C.
Earthquakes- Since 1914 we have had at least ten times more major earthquakes that since the first century, down to the 1800s.
The signs are just a conclusive as D N A.

I'd definitely go back further than 1914. I was just thinking last night that this country has been involved in a war during just about every generation since it's birth.

1. Revolutionary War
2. War of 1812
3. Mexican-American War
4. Civil War
5. Spanish Americal War
6. WWI
7. WWII
8. Korean War
9. Vietnam War
10. Desert Storm
11. Current wars in Iraq/Afganistan

But, yes, things will get worse, like birth pains (increasing frequency and intensity) as the new beginning draws near.

And it's Jesus who rules until He puts everything under His feet and then hands it all back to God, the Father.

You are using JW buzzwords.
1. "System of things"
2. Jesus "come into kingdom power"
3. "sign of his presence"
4. "1914" (that's a big one)

As I recall, the belief is that Jesus came to kingdom power in 1914 and the devil was cast down. Jesus has been ruling "invisibly" on earth since 1914 unless that has changed...
