I am not a supporter of John Hagee, and I have not read his book, though I have listened to a number of his Youtube presentations and I did not hear Hagee link the blood moons to the Rev 20:8 battle of Gog & Magog, which I agree comes after the millennium.
Hagee does not even say that Armageddon occurs within the time span of the 4 blood moons, another claim which Preston makes. Hagee does say he believes the blood moons are a sign from God that we are entering the time when these things will come to pass. And with that I agree.
.
Christians attacking Christians in such a vitriolic way helps to undermine our credibility.
If you look more closely at what Hagee is saying (and I am not one of his supporters) he is saying that Magog is Russia and Russia will be involved in an attack on Israel. The blood moons play into this in that he sees them as a sign that we are entering a stage of world conflict. He has not set a specific time line for this.
Hagee is entitled to express his understanding of these things just as Preston is. Neither of these men have an infallible understanding of the future.
.
No, listen carefully, when does the 20th chapter of Revelation place the Gog and Magog invasion... before the Millennium ... or after the Millennium?
Where does Daniel place the 70th week aka the Great Tribulation... before the Millennium... or after the Millennium?
When is the "Rapture" supposed to happen ... before the Millennium... or after the Millennium?
Yes, Rev 20:8 occurs after the Millennium but if Magog is Russia then Magog also has an important role in the events leading up to and during the tribulation.
The significance of the current tetrad of blood moons is not dependent on any one theological interpretation of the unfolding of end time events.
.
Gog and Magog is not Russia because the Hebrew word ros is not any country but simply means head or chief and is used over 600 times throughout the Old Testament under the definition of head or chief, then are you telling the OT mentions Russia for over 600 times in the Old Testament?
In fact, Ezekiel uses this Hebrew word ros alot throughout his own book, in fact in these following passages:
1:22,25,25
5:1
6:13
7:18
8:3
9:10
10:1,11
11:21
13:18
16:12,25,31,43
17:4,19,22
21:19,21
22:31
23:15,42
24:23
27:22,30
29:11
32:27
33:3
38:2-3
39:1
40:1
42:12
43:12
44:18,20
Wow, that is a whole lotta Russia er Ros... I repeat over 600 times in the Old Testament.
Either John Hagee is preying on Christian naivete or he is himself deceived.
Tubal does not represent Tobolsk, Tobolsk was founded in 1587 A.D.
Meshech does not represent Moscow because Moscow is from the Finnish name of Moscovites. The earliest written mention of Moscow in ancient documents was in 1147 A.D., when it was ONLY A SMALL VILLAGE.
I have seen various explanations of God & Magog. Here is another: http://www.gotquestions.org/Gog-Magog.html
Which interpretation is correct will be verified when the events come to pass, so I am not too worried about it.
The point I do agree with Hagee on is that the current tetrad of blood moons occurring on Jewish feast days is worth considering as a portent of conflict to come, especially as we see tension around the world increasing. It is time for Christians to "trim their lamps".
.
I agree we must be careful with our tone. I will ask though, if we notice someone putting arsenic in a glass of water, do we have a responsibility to one who lifts the glass to drink? I believe we should be warning God's people of the poison coming from modern false prophets.Christians attacking Christians in such a vitriolic way helps to undermine our credibility.

The Four Blood Moons is the Christian equivalent to the Y2K and Mayan Calender 2012 scares. Doesn't have an once of scriptural support. It is extrabiblical and has made John Hagee and his 1.25 million dollar salary even fatter.
Here is a two part sermon that DESTROYS Hagee and his four blood moons, it is my prayer that you will be a good Berean and listen in on this sermon that completely debunks the 4BMs. If for any reason because it is objective and to pursue the truth and uncover deception. Dave B Curtis has written many great articles on the internet. He proves undeniably Hagee twisted the truth and falsified history in order to comform this event into his eschatological views.
Dave B Curtis DESTROYS the 4BMs. I love this brother. In fact, I am going to watch this sermon again, now. Great job Brother Curtis!
Look up Jeremiah 10:1-2!I listened to about half way through the first video and gave up. Curtis does his best to claim that Hagee is setting dates for the 2nd coming which is just not true.
Curtis also does his best to claim that the 'blood moon' tetrads coinciding with Jewish feast days is not unusual Well, I think 8 times since Jesus was on earth is rather unusual.
Curtis also tries to make a case that the last 3 tetrads during the past 500 years did not coincide with world events significant for Israel when it is very obvious that they did. The fact that the tetrad was not precisely on the date of an historical event fails to recognize that the significant consequences for Israel were over a time period.
The current blood moon tetrad was first identified by Mark Biltz and there are some variations in the explanations of its significance. I am not convinced that anyone completely understands the significance but we will recognize world events when they come to pass.
With the social, political & economic conditions in the world today I believe we are approaching the time when Jesus Christ will return. The Bible indicates there will be astronomical signs that occur at that time.
Curtis claims that to speak of the soon return of Jesus Christ is to cause fear & confusion. I find the complete opposite: to me it brings hope and encouragement.
.
Warning people that we are approaching a time of world turmoil and that Christians need to get serious about their faith is hardly "arsenic". One could also point to social, political & economic conditions that indicate we are approaching a time when great tribulation seems to be at hand.
If indeed we are approaching such a time, the Bible indicates there would be some unusual astronomical events occurring.
I'm not at all sure I am understanding your position. I agree that blindly supporting Israel is not appropriate as their leaders are not all godly, but I do believe the restoration of Israel is a part of God's plan.Since the Old Covenant Law of stoning false prophets is not valid today, Christians must exercise spiritual discernment. Part of being in the family of God is warning fellow believers of error coming from self proclaimed modern day prophets.
Scripture portrays the end of the Old Covenant age. That end certainly came with turmoil, social, political upheaval and tribulations. The focus of the Bible is not the end of time but the time of the end of the age. The New Covenant age in which we live will never end.
Our focus should be proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, loving God, and loving our fellow man. We should not be involved in Zionism in the form of blindly supporting the modern state of Israel. The only peace that lasts is the peace of God. We should be praying that all would come to God through faith in Christ. Pastor Hagee believes there are two covenants and two distinct people. That's arsenic.
I'm not at all sure I am understanding your position. I agree that blindly supporting Israel is not appropriate as their leaders are not all godly, but I do believe the restoration of Israel is a part of God's plan.
I would not accuse anyone of "arsenic" who taught salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
.
I believe Scripture teaches that God restored Israel in the first century AD. He called the remnant from all twelve tribes of Old Covenant Israel before destroying her for her harlotry in AD 70.I'm not at all sure I am understanding your position. I agree that blindly supporting Israel is not appropriate as their leaders are not all godly, but I do believe the restoration of Israel is a part of God's plan.
I would not accuse anyone of "arsenic" who taught salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
