I feel the anointing on my personal life whenever I am pursuing things that God wants me to pursue. At least, that is how I interpret the signs.
God gives His mark of approval upon a certain action with a slight sense of His presence. And I imagine this same principle works in revivals, where God is teaching people new things and needs to let them know that it is from Him. The same way that Paul preached the Gospel with signs following, but in this case there is a different focus, as the Gospel has been preached for centuries, but we don't always know which version is the right one!
I feel that God did indeed lead me to learn about the Jewish stuff. I probably could have done so without wearing a talit, but it certainly did make it easier. The anointing I was talking about was in the learning, and I think participating and wearing the talit was simply part of that.
When all the Jewish stuff was learned, and the only reason left for me to be there was legalism, the anointing subsided. I felt no anointing on the requirement to obey the OT laws. I do not feel that God would love me more if I tried to keep them. But I do feel that He asked me to learn the depth of spirituality that the Jews have locked up in their cultural customs. And I feel blessed for doing so.
I understand what you're saying, and I respect your right to feel the anointing.
