Is it because Christ must reign until all has been accomplished

So His reign "forever and ever" in Revelation must end, too, eh?

Likewise torments "forever & ever".

All saved (1 Cor 15:22-28)!

Yipeee!

I suggest you read peters letters

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.

Remember the story of Jonah?

The one where KJV says he went into the sea creature "forever" which was 3 days?

Maybe you need to re-assess your Bible version[=interpretation/opinion] where it uses words like "eternal", "forever and ever" etc.

until The full numbers in Christ are complete and HE has put the last of His enemies under HIm

Or do you deny that there even are enemies of The Cross?

Jesus is comparing the state of the righteous believing with the state of the unrighteous unbelieving.

One state is everlasting life. The other state is a state of perpetual wrath, i.e. everlasting wrath as is the present tense of the Greek word "abideth" is indicative.

So far in this thread we've seen things such as:

1. All men = all [kinds of] men

2. Wrath = [perpetual] wrath = [everlasting] wrath

3. Damnation = [eternal] damnation

And i keep thinking how this reminds me of the JW Bible (New World Translation).

No the one where Christ said the men of Ninevah will stand in the judgement and condemn this generation for they listened to the words of Jonah AND NOW ONE GREATER THAN JONAH HAS COME

19 for in Him the entire complement delights to dwell, 20 and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens." 21 And you, being once estranged and enemies in comprehension, by wicked acts, yet now He reconciles"

Is it too much to come to THE CROSS, repent, turn away from our sins and believe The Gospel of The Good News Of The Gift of God?

Is this why HE said "they hated ME without a cause"

9 Faithful is the saying and worthy of all welcome10 (for for this are we toiling and being reproached), that we rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, 11 especially of believers. These things be charging and teaching.

"Forever" and "Eternal" are anything to do with God
becasue He doesn't experience time. So anything
involving Gods' intervention can be "infinite" or
"Instantaneous" either one.

As scripture describes in your example.

Doubting Thomas saw many of Jesus miracles, was told of His future resurrection & refused to believe Christ was resurrected till He SAW IT with his own eyes. How many people do you suppose who died in unbelief will believe when they SEE?

What are we doing by being faithful but holding to the Testimony of Jesus and making our plea( or should I say God is making His Plea) that men be reconciled to Him in His Son

And didn't HE give us this ministry of reconciliation. Are we NOT ambassadors for Christ calling all men to be reconciled to GOD

If this is what we have been called to it stands to reason that not all men are reconciled to God in His Son

And the call to "go" is the call to "go" for it is not His desire that Any should perish but that all should come to repentance and the knowledge of His Son who is the way the truth and the life

What was given by GOD now through HIS Word so that men may know and understand and believe. Thomas wasn't with the whole of the group and neither were we. But he was told by those who saw HIM and he didn't believe

This was not overlooked. Christ came and told him do not be doubting but believe

And afterwards Christ said do you believe because you have seen? Blessed are those who have not seen and believe

Each in his own "class":

22 For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified." 23 Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; thereupon those who are Christ's in His presence;" 24 thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and all authority and power." 25 For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy is being abolished: death. 27 For He subjects all under His feet. Now whenever He may be saying that all is subject, it is evident that it is outside of Him Who subjects all to Him." 28 Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all.)

1st class = Christ
2nd class = those who are Christ's
3rd class = the consummation/end

There are enough witnesses telling the world the Truth because the outpouring of The Holy Spirit is That Witness in us who testifies to The Truth

But men (just as Christ said with regards to the wicked generation) need signs and visions but none shall be given it except the sign of Jonah

And HE was not talking about the three days but the Truth that The Strong Man (The greater) Has come but the world continues in disbelief

The short if it. All have the same white garment from every nation and people

And these in white robes? Who are they?

Do you know?

For that same question was asked to John in Revelation
