You're welcome, I feel it's only fair to reply to everyone and to acknowledge everyone's points, even if all the responses take a while so apologies if it takes a while for me to get back to you guys.

It's not a matter of rebelling against God or wanting life to be "fair". I was more protesting why God would have virgins be kept as war brides, or say slaves are property, or have people kill their fellow tribesmen for protesting what was going on.

You know, all those theologians give one million excuses for all these crazy stuff in OT and sometimes in NT. My personal answer, you know, I really not literalist. And I don't belive like Bible is inerrant perfect Book droped down on our heads from heaven directly from God, every word. It's silly , I think. My view people in my church don't like to hear, I'm like "white raven" we say in my language. Not fitting. Like, "hush hush you sinner". But OK. So anyways. Crazy crazy laws. Like, I almost fell from my chair when I read, if two men fighting nacked with swords, and wife grabs by... shameful organ of husbant, then husband must draw sword and chop arm of wife immediately!!! Forget it! Joke! Impossible. Even translation in my language, I read interlinear Greek or Hebrew NT or OT, sounding little different in many places. So even if it was 100% truth truth (it's not), then translation already changing. I hear different from original meaning. Or much historical context lost... So we dont even get all of original meanings. Ancient antology of books!!!!!

I almost want to through away OT. But cant - Jesus said, it's good if you read it right - with right understanding, meaning, get some ideas but have brains for change!!!! Like he said to Farises "you have big zeal for God, but not according to understanding". Like he said - you guys read OT but you understand zero. You just blindly following it. He said you guys are snakes. Harsh!!!!!!! I don't want be snake or blind or not understanding foolish guy. No. I want like Jesus explained. I believe in Jesus.

I'm Christian, not OldTestamentian or NewTestamentian or Bibleian. No worshiping idols, God commanded. Sooo, Bible can be idol? No. Only God himself!!! Only Jesus Christ my Lord!!! Worship some random writings of humans? Idolatry

Even so, think of it this way: if you were a scientist who created sentient beings who have wills of their own, would you pit some against others, or tell some to kill the others, or strike some with an illness, with your only justification being "because"? How would virgins being kept as war brides or the like be considered "fair"?

Again, much of it is fantasy fantasy. No. God not doing crazy stuff like that. Really. Gotta have understanding. Gotta have eyes. Gotta have brains. Like Jesus advized.

BUT what God is really doing, according to Jesus and much of OT and NT, if looking in allegory or looking as general history or looking at relationships with prophets and looking at general ideas. Then it's clear - God not sadist. God not crazy illogical guy doing all sorts of strange weird stuff and not telling people do it. General idea, God loves people. God wants people understand deep truth. Murcy, love, compassion, acceptance. Jesus teaching!!!

Religion teachis extra crazy stuff - please don't listen. Jesus said, kids of snakes blind murderers. Jesus said, rather then teaching all that crazy nonesense you religious twisters of God's truth why not put heavy rock on your neck and jump inside river??? Harsh!!! But true.

Your argument against God is nothing new topic writer. It was addressed in Romans by Paul. (It's a human argument)

God desires mercy, not sacrifice. His desire is for you to accept the peace offering he has made a public display in Christ crucified.

Blood for blood and life for life.

He lay down his life of his own accord, no one took it from him, in order to bring you to God, not counting your sins against you.

Those thingd that happened in the past are written as examples that you should not follow their examples of disobedience.

Today through Christ God offers reconciliation to men. And he has set a day when he will judge the living and the dead by the man he appointed. He has given proof of this by raising him from the dead.

This is the reason why the gospel is preached; so that man might be judged by their own human standards according to the flesh and how they live toward God and man in regard to the spirit.

TODAY is the day to pay attention to HIM, to receive a pardon. (devastating though the sin is; the pardon was purchased or made possible by HIS SON'S BLOOD paying the price for sin).
TOMORROW ? might never come for most people.
TODAY IS THE DAY.
Soon God will repay every act of disobedience and rebellion against HIS SON JESUS
for all those who have not received HIS PARDON.
None of those unrepentant will survive the judgment.

So this is what's going to happen.

Just as Christ Jesus was rejected by that generation, so also it shall be again. He will not return until the Apostasy. The apostate is not the unbelieving world. Just as in Jesus day the apostates that rejected him were the teachers so shall it be again! So many denominations!!!

For if judgement begins with the household of God what will become of the ungodly and the sinner!

The man of lawlessness is an apostate preaching rebellion and lawlessness and with flattery he will corrupt those who have broken God's covenant.

The covenant is found in Hebrews 8 & 10. God forgiving sins and teaching them to love one another.

The first act of violence found in scripture is not Cain's murder.

The first act of violence was by Eve. She said, "The serpent deceived me..."
She cast blame on another!

Then Adam listened to his wife and said, "My wife gave it to me..."
He blamed his wife.

But God listens really good and says to Adam, "Because you listened to your wife..."

Are we as men blameless? Blaming no one but taking account of ourselves because we are conscious of God who will keep you blameless!

"vindicated" would mean they were found not sinful to start with.

To be justified, proved innocent, and be found blameless!

Justified by HIS BLOOD YES !
Proved innocent NO! (they did sin)
Found blameless YES ! (their sin is washed away by the BLOOD of the LAMB, and they go and sin no more!)
