It's quite interesting, because about a week ago (maybe a little more), Russia issued a new warning. In a nutshell, they warned any planes that attacked Syria would essentially be shot down. So Basically, if you attack Syria you attack Russia.
Interesting isn't the word, more like alarming. Most appear to still be working under the delusion Russia is our ally against Isis and the Syrian War is near an end. Nothing could be further from the truth. As you point out in your post, the situation In Syria is deteriorating and escalating by the day, despite what everyone seems to believe.
In 2014 Vladimir Putin issued a policy statement that said Russia reserves the right to "first use" of nuclear weapons should NATO threaten Russia with conventional forces. Since then, Strategic Air Command (SAC) has started training and preparing their bomber forces for a nuclear strike against Russia. Both countries have developed and deployed smaller tactical nuclear cruise missiles, dramatically increasing the likelihood these weapons will be used on the battlefield in the near future. The reality is we are in a New Cold War era, far more
dangerous than the previous Cold War. Mankind is edging ever closer to nuclear annihilation. At the same time, God's warnings are becoming increasingly intense. Still you see the opinions of the naysayers posted in this thread nearly every day. "Where is the promise of his coming, for ever since our fathers fell asleep, everything continues as it has since the beginning of creation", Don't worry, nothing is happening, everything is O.K. This too was prophesied (2 Peter 3:4).
