around here cars are a way of life most people have at least one of them as buses don't run after a certain time in the evening and things are spread out.

Yeah it is common here. My Father is doing his driver licence right now. He and my Mother couldn't afford a car so we learned to live without it. But I'm planning to do my driver licence too this year.

Personally I find piercings other than ears and tattoos somewhat annoying. I see no reason to pierce body parts other than to draw attention to those parts instead of other parts.

I got mine when I was 17, cars around here are plentiful you can buy used ones for cheap. Our city is way too big to do without a car all the time and way too spread out some people would have to take 2-3 buses to get where they need at times it would take half a day to walk from one end of the city to the other if you could walk 15 miles in a day (I would probably not be able to walk that far without tiring.
