Because it sums up Mormon beliefs briefly and accurately.
then you have a very distorted understanding there so many out right lies that a honest honorable person would not post such slander. Especially about the blacks. That is insulting

So you're saying I'm not an "honest honorable person"??? Why the attack on me??? If you disagree with the video you'd benefit more from explaining what you disagree with and why rather than hurling ad hom attacks and invective at me. Why are you so angry anyway? This is supposed to be a discussion, even an argument, but not a fight.

In any case, you can declare it "slander" or whatever else but just making those declarations doesn't prove anything.

As for the teaching on blacks, I agree, it IS insulting, but that's what Brigham Young preached (among others). I realize you don't like it being exposed and that you may not agree with it but this is the teaching of a prophet of the Mormon religion.

So you reject the truth because of perceived bad behavior by some?

Matthew 5:14 -
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

1 Corinthians 13:1 -
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

If a person is truly Christian, then it should be reflected in their actions and words. After all, the person is supposed to be new again in Christ, correct? Hence the term "born again"?

As we've had noted by others here, every person is an example to others of just what their faith represents and what they believe. If a person is a bad example, then they bring that much disrepute to their faith. If enough people are bad examples, then one has every reason to question the environment that could have produced them.

Believe this too?

We were not all alike in heaven. We know, for example, that we were sons and daughters of heavenly parents—males and females (see “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” Ensign, Nov. 1995, 102). We possessed different talents and abilities, and we were called to do different things on earth. We can learn more about our “eternal possibilities” when we receive our patriarchal blessings (see Thomas S. Monson, in Conference Report, Oct. 1986, 82; or Ensign, Nov. 1986, 66).

How, pray tell, is this different from mainline theology?

That's a genetic fallacy. The truth is the truth, regardless of how it's presented.

No; it doesn't.

If you've got a good ad-blocker program in place, here's a rebuttal I did for it over a decade ago.

The short appears to be a clip from "The Godmakers", a film so full of deceit and falsehood that both The National Council of Christians & Jews and the Anti-Defamation League of B'Nai B'Rith denounced it as "hate" material.

I enjoyed it, eye opening experience.

Only if you enjoy being lied to.

The cartoon is the work of J. Edward Decker, a man who has built his entire career on lying to his audiences.

Decker claimed to have been "saved" out of the LDS faith, but in reality he was facing down excommunication for serial adultery and left before he got ban-hammer'd. He began holding himself out as an "expert" on the church not long after, but any even halfway attentive member of the church will instantly recognize his claims as being false.

I would say that you that like others who are antimormons you know that the video does not portray what we believe. I am sure other Mormons have corrected this for you already and yet you posted it anyway. Now tell me this is the first contact you have with a Mormon who has told you that it is not truthful

I understand. As an anti-Christian you need to attack the person rather than have a discussion about what was presented. I have never had a Mormon tell me anything about this video because I have never talked to a mormon about this video. But now that I have, I can see that there must be something about it that strikes a nerve because I am met with ad hom attack, accusations based on speculation. I have to think that this video must seriously prick the conscience of mormons for the reaction to be that way.

I was taught the very same thing when I was a Mormon kid. And I asked about that later on, in the 80's when I questioned how and why the non-whites were finally able to earn Priesthood. Strange coincidence how BYU was under a boycott by a number of colleges over that very subject. I do not recall the details on that, sadly. I just thought it was strange how God (or Elohim to some of you) would change His mind on something so important and scriptural for a ball team. The Bishop, of course, said no it's not for a ball team, but how the sinfulness of Cain is now gone and they have been made righteous. I just never could shake the thouht that there was another reason.

What's the difference between serial adultery and multiple wives?

I'm reading it. Thank you for providing it - I appreciate that you are at least providing some reasons and background rather than just blasting me or anyone else. From what I see in your rebuttal, most of it is over details that I think miss the point. I did research Ed Decker a tiny bit and it seems that he is criticized by some other Christian evangelists for his publications/ministry being too offensive and/or inaccurate. I also looked at his page - Saints Alive - but it seems to be toned down from what he's accused of.
