Thread: Peace or Justice?
Name: Zemorah Jarone
Race: Potameide (a type of Naiad; river nymph)
Gender: Female
Age: N/A
Appearance: Her skin is a soft ebony, her eyes a crystalline brown, and her black hair almost shaved, leaving her oval face in the open for distinction. Her nose is petite and her lips full and dark. She is of medium height and slender, but not preferably beautiful. A birth mark with the appearance of three squiggly lines rests on the right side of her neck, closer to her collar bone.
She wears clothes made of cloth and exotic in appearance with colors of blues, reds, greens, and browns. Her feet are either bare or slightly covered in leather straps from sandals while she adorns bracelets, anklets, necklaces, and earrings of shells, feathers, pebbles, animal teeth/claws, et cetera, et cetera. She's a nature lover at heart and sometimes will wear wreaths of flowers or other type of greenery atop her head.
Personality: She's stubborn and can be considered cruel at times, however, if she wanted to she could be a compassionate woman; it just doesn't appeal to her. She doesn't necessarily enjoy solitude, but is alone most of the time. Open to almost anything, outgoing, and quite a deceiver. She yearns for passion and kindness from others, yet doesn't know how to ask for it. Extremely independent and despises help or any form of pity.
Background: Zemorah was born to a human and potameide, but that was years ago and she hardly remembers her birth father. When her mother died, the river that she was connected to became Zemorah's and she has been trapped there ever since. She can't wander far off from the river, which is surrounded by forests in Scotland, and lives only to 'be' and nothing else. Her father also had numerous other human children and as each generation passes, Zemorah is considered the daughter of one of the men until he dies then his son takes on the role as kindness towards their distant kin. She never dies, grows older, and keeps her identity a secret; and they help her with this.
The most recent is Vander, a strong assassin for the King's evil cousin and the man's obsession over killing off magical creatures. Although he knows Zemorah is a naiad, he continues to play the role as her father and that she is his human daughter, however, his hatred for the girl has grown. He considers her to consistently get in the way, and he fears that some day some one will find out the dirty secret he has kept and accuse him of being a traitor.
Zemorah and Vander have set up the assassin's refuge in an old monastery next to the river in which she dwells. There she watches as the hatred for other beings, people like her, grows and she can do nothing to stop it.
