When you are a zombie at work because the "just want to finish this turn" at 2300 turned into a "wow, look what I have conquered" at 0200.

For personal achievements on an application, you list things like, "Conquered the world in X turns with X money." Or something along the lines of, "maintained the 'richest player' status throughout the duration of the game.

You spend your time at work mentally planning your next moves to expand your Roman empire (Rome: Total War) for the nightly "gaming session."

don't know if it's been mentioned but, you hook up the tape player to the ps2 record the music from the game for listening enjoyment in the car.

After playing Splinter Cell for too long, my vision became blurry and I bumped my head while walking.

I went to the medicine cabinet to get a MedKit. I administered it to myself and said,

"OOOOoooohhhh!!!"

I then gave myself another dose and said,

"Aaaaaahhhhh!!!"

You spouse would let you hit a strip joint before letting you into a place like Electronics Boutique of CompUSA alone.
