Hi,

I know I'm probably going to get a lot of criticism and bashing for my comments I'm about to make, but I just wondered if anyone else felt the same way I do about the ladies on The View. I use to like watching the show when it first came on several years ago, but now I just cannot tolerate some of the hostesses on there. Rosie O'Donnell for one. I am a Christian, and yes, I believe homosexuality is a sin. Rosie is gay, and the few times I've tried watching the show since she has been on there, she has to mention her lover? partner? atleast 3 or 4 times. Just today she had to say something about her snoring really bad and how Kelly complains about it. She also said something about wanting to have another child but Kelly wasn't up to it. She is trying to normalize homosexuality on this show. And then there's Joy B. She has been living with a man for many years and sees no wrong with it. And Barbara W., she has admitted that she doesn't believe in God, Jesus, Heaven, etc., and that the only thing she might half way believe in is reincarnation. These women need prayer. I just can't watch the show anymore. Beth

I miss Merideth. Though she did talk about her kids and husband a lot which was annoying. I guess hosts just do that sort of stuff though. Elisabeth talks about her husband all football season too.

Rosie is the worst. I have watched bits of a show or two (I work nights and am sometimes up when it airs) but it's just not the same without Merideth or Star and Joy getting snippy with each other. That was ladies daytime TV that even a middle-aged man like myself could enjoy.

They can credit her (or Starr's Leaving) with the cancellation.... ROSIE SUCKS!!!

I never cared for Star (is it Starr? - shoulda imdb'ed before posting this) myself, but her and Merideth's departure and Rosie's arrival definately sound like strike three for what once was a pretty watchable daytime chatfest. I even enjoyed Joy's shrill snarkiness.

The View, IMO, jumped the shark after Lisa Ling left. It's been at various grades of downhill sense then.

Since when are your religious views the only correct ones? Last time I checked they weren't (since all beliefs are based on faith and faith alone, and therefore, one belief can't be any more true than another), so why say that others need your religion? Whether you like it or not, not everyone is meant to be a Christian, just like you weren't meant to be a Wiccan. I advise you to stop looking down on others purely because they don't share the same beliefs as you do. You wouldn't like it if they did so to you, so why do so to them? "Do unto others as they would do unto you." Remember that handy little verse? Or what about "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"? Seems like you haven't been paying enough attention to the lessons of your holy book.

Also, why shouldn't Rosie be allowed to mention her partner? I don't see you making a huge fuss over other talk show hosts mentioning family members, so what makes Rosie any different? Just because she's gay is no reason for you to want her to live by different rules than straight people do. Discrimination didn't work in the 1960s when it was used by white Christians against blacks, and it certainly won't work nowadays when, again, it's used by white Christians, this time against gays. You are no better than the people who agreed with blacks only getting to sit at the back of the bus, or the people who currently think that all Muslims are terrorists. Hatred, even in its most mild forms (and yes, you are displaying mild hatred right now), does no good at all. It divides people when they should be uniting and creates conflict when there should be peace. Is that what you really want? Think about it.

I agree with the OP. This show use to start out talking about current events and important issues now it's all about gay rights and tolerance for all things that Rosie and Barbara believe in. I still watch once in awhile in hopes it may change. I know that is not going to happen. I hope it gets cancelled.
