Give me a soft green field
To lay back and look at the stars,
To take in all of Your glory
To relax and heal the scars.
Let me breath in the silent night
And bask in the glory above,
Knowing all this You have made
Is just a small glimpse of Your love.
To relax in the peace of Your presence
Knowing You are in total control,
Where we see only a small part
You can see it all as a whole.
For a few moments everythings still
And Your presence is easy to feel,
But once everything continues spinning
Comes distractions from knowing Your real.
Help us keep our eyes wide open
And keep You as close as our voice,
Knowing everything will be much easier
If we always make You our first choice.
