I'm starting to get into RPGs.I enjoyed Morrowind and Fable. Can y'all name me some of your favorites on all consoles?I like collecting items and customizing characters.I also like to use swords and magic.I just want to know what game I should try next.
I didn't care for Jade Empire of KOTOR.
Thanks in advance.

KOTOR I and II (Xbox and PC)
Fable (Xbox)
Morrowind (Xbox PC; Game of the year edition is the best $20 ever spent)
Legend of Legia (PS)
Leged of Dragoon (PS)
Pokemon (Yes, it's an RPG, and yes I like it; GBA)
Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance (Xbox)
Runescape (PC)
Knight Online (PC)

I hear Xmen Legends is good, too. I'm sure you have an Xbox, so I must warn you NOT to get Metal Dungeon. Worst RPG on the Xbox ever, and probably of all consoles.

Also, it's just not right to release Fable just for the Xbox and then release the sequel only on the PC! Argh!

Assuming you have GCN, Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia are excellent games. Not exactly the style you would be looking for, but both are great. BK has a pseudo turnbased Card based battle system. (Really very unique. You have to try it to understand it). Tales of Symphonia has a real time action battle system combined with more traditional overworld and town wandering. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle would probably be the only FF game that you would enjoy, since you don't like Turn-Based RPGs.

Tales of Symphonia! Of course! One of my favorites and I always seem to forget it, lol. I guess it's cause I don't play my Gamecube much. Dark Alliance isn't too outdated. Just yoru basic top down view party RPG game. :D Gauntlet Dark Legacy for the Xbox is good too. Graphics are subpar because it's basically a direct port from the N64 game, but still good fun to be had.

Runescape and Knight Online are fun and don't require that high of a powered PC. You can play runescape at www.runescape.com and Knight Online at www.knightonlineworld.com. Good fun to be had; free too.

Star Ocean 2 and 3
Zenosaga
Most of the final fantasies
Final Fantasy Tactics exclusively (We're working on a text based game for it)
Chrono series (cross and trigger)
Legend of Dragoon

Those are my tops, but there are many great ones I still didn't mention.

They're rather old, but my all time favorite RPG games are the two parts of Ultima 7 (Black Gate & Serpent Isle). There's an open-source group that wrote an engine that will allow you to play them on modern computers. Look up Ultima and Exult on Google. I tried to post the link to their site just now, but apparently don't have enough posts yet to do that.

Since I can post links now - http://exult.sourceforge.net/

There is a great forum there, with friendly people.
