I am a christian. I believe in the Trinity and the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit as three triune natures of ONE Almightly God. I believe that God created the universe and everything in it. I believe man died spiritually and was separated from God as a result of the Garden. I believe that Jesus came as the physical manifestation of the spirit of God to redeem mankind of sin and offer himself as a "perfect" sinless sacrifice. I believe Jesus walked on water, turned water into wine AND resurrected himself on the third day because HE WAS GOD. He was not bound by the physical laws of nature because he created them and could manipulate them at will.

I however do not believe in Young Earth Creationism and I believe it is one of the most satanic, ignorant, corrupt interpretation of scripture I have ever witness within the christian community. I see it honestly no different from flat Earthers and geocentrist(Earth is still and the sun rotates around it).

The Earth was NEVER a block 24 hour period of time. To claim that all the genesis days were 24 hours when there was not always a 24 hour time period is LYING. Lying is a SIN! THAT is why God used the term "DAY" instead of 24 HOURS. He wanted to convey "a passage of time", not a definitive measurement. The Earth in fact use to rotate within 6 hours.

Radiometric dating is RELIABLE and CONFIRMED by multiple INDEPENDANT scientist around the world! The Earth IS NOT 6000 years old and NO WHERE in the bible does it claim that the Earth is about 6000 years old. Who DON'T know whether geneologies were left out and we ASSUME ALL of them are record. We have HUMAN artifacts from 9,500 BC in the middle east.

The only reason people are becoming atheist after learning about science and evolution is because they are told that EVOLUTION and GOD are mutually exclusive and you can NOT believe that organisms change over time AND believe Jesus rose from the grave. They have absolutely nothing in common with each other but you can not tell Young Earth Creationist that because they were lied to by Satan.

When children and younger individuals learn about the facts of science and evolution, they now are confused because creationist lied to them and told them that they can NOT believe in both evolution(organism change over time) AND Jesus Christ being the messiah(Which is CHRISTianity is about). When they are confronted in Biology with the fact of evolution, they decide since they cannot accept Jesus Christ as Lord, they become atheist.

The bible is NOT a science book but the reality of restoring broken mankind though Jesus Christ. Pastors are theologians, NOT scientist. I am 20 years old but growing up, all of the older christians told me that I could not believe in evolution and be a Christian. When I learned the FACT of evolution, I became an atheist because I was told BY CREATIONIST that it was only default position for anyone objecting to Young Earth Creationism. When I learned that science and God are not polar opposites I became a Christian and learned about the redemptive work of Jesus Christ to restore mankind.

That is exactly what Satan himself wants. He sets up a false lie and claim it to be from God. When they find out it is not truth then people assume that they can't be WITH God effectively turning away from him when in reality the lie was NEVER from God in the first place.

Satan is the father of lies and Young Earth Creationism is a LIE!
Young Earth Creationism LEADS to atheism. The Devil does not want you to go to Christ. Young Earth Creationism is a doctrine straight from the devil. It sets up a false image of Christianity. When you find out its a lie, you assume God is a lie as well when God is TRUTH and was NEVER part of a lie.

I am a science major(Medical Lab Science major and I have to take, bio, chem, organic chem, physics, micro, anatomy, Immunology, and MORE) at a accredited state university. Its a secular public college but its not anti-God. I want to state that if you are NOT a SCIENTIST or have a clear understanding of how science works(college level understanding, not some highschool biology class were As were given out like Halloween candy), DO NOT make claims that you can't believe in God AND Science.

P.S. Evolution and Abiogenesis are TWO comepletely separate concepts. Evolution is change in organisms over time and Abiogenesis is life arising from inorganic matter through natural processes. Evolution does NOT say how life started, ONLY how organisms change over time.

What does that have to do about the Earth never being stuck in 24 hour mode!
Plants needing light to live is not going to change that fact that a "day" was never the same 24 hour period that it is today. YEC is a lie from the devil. Trying to twist reality around a lie only makes it a bigger lie.

I believe Genesis COULD have been a metaphor speaking about the real truths of man falling into sin and separating from God. I don't know for sure just like Job in the bible when asked God told him to tell him how EXACTLY the Earth was formed. All I know is that Jesus rose!

God is not a liar and we have radiometric dating FACTs that the Earth is not 6,000 years old. The bible does not say the Earth is 6,000 years old so YEC is FALSE. Dinosaurs are older than 6,000 years and they DID NOT coexist with humans.

I have heard this said, but really its kind of nonsense. Science is a disciplined , analytical way of thinking and assessing evidence. Observations and experiments, attempts to falsify.

They had no notion of this in those days. They made some few accurate observations, as did the most primitive tribes anywhere.

We find a lot of people who like to say that the bible actually talks about a lot of things that could not have been known at the time, I dont think it does, but they do. And I guess you dont either.

Citation desperately needed for those Y chromosomes. Y-chromosomal Aaron is the closest I could find, and he isn't the MRCA of the Hebrews. This does discuss the genetic history of all Jews, but it doesn't say anything about 6000 years.

I have a question for you. Do you believe it is more child-like to simply trust God and what He says, or to doubt God and demand further information and the approval of the academic community and then explain to God how it really happened?

Your first post seems to be speaking with much emotion and outright animosity, a type I've not even seen in many debates I've had on here with Calvinists and Arminians who are almost diametrically opposed on certain aspects of salvation.

God has something that can help you with this. When we lose control of our emotions, many times it means we simply need our mind renewed in whatever area it is. Paul said in Romans 12:2 "be transformed by the renewing of your minds."

Our spirit is saved the moment we believe in Christ as Savior. But then the process of mind renewal begins. God doesn't just open up our head and pour a renewed brain into it with correct thinking. We all begin the Christian walk with a lot of faulty thinking that the Holy Spirit by the Word of God needs to change. He changes this "stinkin' thinkin' into truth-based thinking.

This renewal takes time. We developed this faulty thought processes over time, by hearing a lie and believing it and then telling ourselves the lie over and over. For example: "i'm no good. I'll never live a victorious Christian life." or "God could never forgive me of that sin." Pretty soon you start believing it and start thinking that way. That's called faulty thinking.

Only God's Word can correct faulty thinking.

As I said, God can help you with this thing that has you so worked up and bring peace as well as truth to replace the 'stinkin thinkin' of the devil and the flesh.

I recommend the following technique that I came across from a pastor who used it successfully for many years to heal all sorts of problems and errors of thinking that people had and that I have used successfully in my own life.

He recommended they read Psalm 23 five times a day for five days and you will find a difference in your life. He found that it worked in many people's lives. I've personally found that it works using any passage to deal with any problem or faulty thinking area I have.

I've also found that continuing to read the passage once a day for at least three months solidifies the process of mind renewal.

Rather than Psalm 23, I recommend the above Proverbs 3:5 verse, and the following passage, 5 times per day, 5 days, then once per day for 3 months. you will be surprised at the positive effect it has on your thought process:

The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
