  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Dedicated Christian NICKO MCBRAIN Says The 'Guv'nor' Doesn't Have A Problem With Him Playing In IRON MAIDEN

Heh, I wasn't aware that Nicko McBrain was a Christian! I like this article a lot. I cut my baby headbanger teeth on Iron Maiden, still love their older albums going back to the Di'Anno era, and never did think that they were "Satanic". I especially like what he says about:

"But when you become a Christian, you don't become sinless, the idea is to sin less. We're all sinners, we're never going to be clean 'till the day the good Lord is standing in front and judgment comes, but to me, I try to live my life, I do fall off, and occasionally I fall off hard and I have to get down on my knees and beg forgiveness, so it's not an easy ride, and it's not professed to be either."

That's exactly how I approach it; pragmatically and sensibly, or as much of those things as I can muster daily.
