You Need A New Mind to Follow Jesus

You need to be BORN AGAIN to follow Jesus Christ and to SEE the kingdom of God, you cannot just CHANGE YOUR MIND. You need a NEW MIND. Most believers were not born again, they still have a SINFUL MIND, a WORLDLY MIND and that is why they keep on sinning and they love the things of the world. We need a NEW MIND. We need the MIND OF CHRIST and we must ask Jesus to give us that NEW MIND, to RENEW our mind, not just to change it because that which is CORRUPT cannot be changed to be acceptable to God.

We read in Romans chapter 12:1 The apostle Paul writes: “I urge you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and a holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and PERFECT.”
That is why believers say that they cannot stop sinning, they have a sinful mind, they have a corrupt mind, the mind of the world. We need that NEW MIND, the MIND OF CHRIST. I f we still love the world and think like the world then we have a corrupt mind and we cannot do different because our mind is rotten, we need a NEW MIND, the MIND OF CHRIST.

We need to REPENT, TURN AWAY from what we were and what we did. We have got to hate it and ask Jesus for a new mind, we must embrace that NEW MIND, the MIND OF CHRIST and present ourselves, our MIND SOUL AND BODY to Jesus Christ as a Holy sacrifice to serve Him in PERFECTION. We have to be PERFECT like He is PERFECT. Jesus Christ gives us a PERFECT MIND, the MIND OF CHRIST and therefor if we follow Him we will be PERFECT as He commanded us to be.

Wait wait wait. I thought humans could never be perfect because only Jesus is perfect? But we must always strive to be perfect knowing we will never be perfect? That sounds like quite a load on the psyche. Would you assert that there are Christians with perfect minds? Who are they?

Inversely, would you assert that most Christians do not or will not have this mind?

At any rate, I think you're talking in circles and the random CAPSLOCK is really annoying to READ because now I have to EMPHASIZE certain WORDS and its ANNOYING.

Welcome aboard newbie! Thanks for your take on things - hope you continue to participate, sharing your findings. Not to many 'Christians' want to take the time to speak from the heart, granted you cited 'Paul' who is different from the Founder of your Faith but I can see potential in you.

What you speak of as a 'New Mind' or 'Born Again' happens with other Faiths - I would encourage you to look into how a Religion - not just yours - changes ones take on things.

I had this experience with God before I come to know Jesus - so Jesus is not the only way to experience a realization - and at the same time ... it's how you interpret what Jesus said and no disrespect intended towards your Faith but is it centered on the Founder.

As I would ask any - because the ones presenting the are message - important - but not as much the original one who spoke to your heart to post this thus founding the experience.

Of course not. Most Christians aren't spiritual people like the OP. The OP has special knowledge and insight. In fact, I'm just waiting to hear them talk about how plain vanilla pseudo-Christians like myself only have "milk" and are lacking the "meat of the WORD" which the OP is certain to most graciously force feed.
