Thx for the link, I read it and was very upset.

Of course CF is very pro-Roman Catholic and it is well documented that Erwin, the creator of CF, is very arminian and a Roman Catholic sympathizer, so it is not too surprising to see something like this developing. However I must say that the real heresy is the "salvation by works" promoted by the Council of Trent which was clearly condemned by Jesus Christ and the Apostles.

You are partially mistaken in your statement. Erwin tries to make CF a safe haven for all Christian faiths. Whether he agrees completely with them or not. He is a sympathizer for those who love our Lord, regardless of their brand name.

And as far as getting too upset about the thread in question. It was started by a fellow who painstakenly attempts to cause controversy for his own amusement. Hi seebs . His statements in no way reflect the feelings of CF staff or our direction.

I would also like to add that the whole thing was an April Fool's joke. He was messing with you and it worked.

Darn it! I hate to get busted on April Fool's day!!! I thought I had escaped the whole day w/o being fooled once....darn it!

But I gotta tell you I do still disagree with you about Erwin. If you just go back to that April Fool's post itself which requests the actual restiction of those who only believe in predestination (remember now, an actual biblical word and doctrine) Erwin is also "fooled" and actually takes the request serious. He states that it is "...interesting..." and then seriously asks the requestor to "...elaborate." I mean with a little more convincing and elaboration.....who knows? This is just one instance, there are many many more.

I just think my pastor is right when he says arminianism is only one step away from Roman Catholicism because they both believe that man is sovereign over his salvation. And if man is sovereign over his salvation, he certainly can "sovereignly rule" over the church as a pope, bishop, other "unaccountable head." And if man can "sovereignly rule" over the church he can also "sovereignly rule" over the state. It becomes a way of thinking, a way of life.

I love the statement from the great pervert (homosexual) and arminian King James when in the 1600's he also restricted the freedom of the predestination believing (and eventual founders of America) Puritans and Presbyterians saying, "No Bishop, no King!" You see, those heretical predestinarians didn't want a "sovereign" over their church or state either, they demanded that their leaders over church and state matters be accountable.

Who is Erwin accountable to as he "rules" and makes "rules" over Christian doctrines in this forum?
