I also remember back in the day playing System Shock 2 for the first time. I ducked and shot so many cameras that I was in the bank one day, looked up and when I saw the camera, my heart leaped up into my throat and I almost lunged aside.

What are some moments where your gaming reflexes have kicked in outside the game?

I had been playing Half Life 2 in the Orange Box for days straight, then came into work to find a rope hanging through a removed panel in the ceiling... I avoided it at all costs and then laughed at myself for it every time. Habits.

I was doing a mining marathon in EVE and I took a break for a little while. My fiancee was watching a thing about space on the Discovery Channel and they showed a shot of asteroids and for a minute I thought "I wonder what minerals are in those, they look like they could have a fair amount of Tritanium in them..." Then I kinda snapped out of it and went "Wait...those arent mine-able!"

I had a dream of Halo involving an orange Spartan playing plasma sword as a guitar and killing everyone.... and if that sounds familiar, it's because it was put into OXM for one of the letters a while back.
