Thanks! I made the suggested changes, and talked a bit slower. I'm now up to 3 minutes and 15 seconds. (I don't want to talk *too* slow, because I may get points taken off for that. :) ) Somebody mentioned the story of Eric Liddle, and the movie made about him and suggested I add something about him in the speech to take up more time. I personally never heard of Eric Liddle, or watched the movie about it. (Chariots of Fire) Under the line of "Just recently, thousands of lives were lost on September 11, 2001, because of the influence of one person - Osama Bin Laden. ", how does the following sound? Did you ever see the movie? If so, how did it conclude? Did he 'influence' the judges/officials to move the race to another day? Thanks Again! --- I just mentioned three bad influences in the Bible and recent events. However, you dont have to be a bad influence to others. Instead, you can be a good influence to the world. For example, you may of heard the story of Eric Liddle, made famous by the movie Chariots of Fire. In the 1924 Olympic Games, Eric Liddle, a Christian, would not run his qualifying heat because it fell on a Sunday. He forfeited a chance for glory in favor of his faith
