  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You can't go to heaven if you don't believe this!!!

Gotcha Its kool, ya definately dont want read it then, besides Joyce might be easier for you to tackle on one verse (not to mention one color)
I have issues with people or doctrines that come by way of revelation and don't have scriptural support, or add like twenty paragraphs of deductions as to why what they are spouting should be believed. In spite of that, sometimes, someone else will pop up with the same story only with a plausible or at least reasonable explanation why the believe the same thing using scripture. Sort of kicks me in the pants. Anyway I think it is dangerous to teach something by way of revelation unless it is a foretelling by God's Spirit. Everything has to be proved and, a prophesy will be proved true or false with time. But a revelation regarding a principle of belief to be adapted must have solid biblical foundations.

Sorry, I missed this one. Well, the NT clearly says it is his blood that washes away our sins and forgiveness of sins requires blood...

I'm not saying I agree with this fella. I'm too exhausted to try and get my brain around the subject right now. Just thought in light of my previous statements it was interesting I'd come up with a reasonable explanation I didn't even know existed.... a kick in the pants it was.

Im not sure if im reading you right, but it is a scriptural fact that Christ went into hades. Dont have my bible, but Christ himself said As Johna was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the fish, so shall the son of man be 3 days and three nights in the belly of the earth. Johna was a prophetic picture. Psalm 16 mentions this, then psalm 16 is confirmed by peta in the book of acts. lol thought id jump in. its biblical....but i dont now what Joyce said, i use her as more of an life teacher rather than getting proper doctrine from. I do enjoy her though

where'd you get the idea that "belly of the earth" means hell? He was in a tomb.

Hi, i respect your opinion, Now the scriptures used to justify this interpetation: The Rich man and Lazarus, The rich man died and went to hades, Lazarus died and went to hades, The rich man was in torment and saw lazarus in Abarhams bossom, the rich man asked abraham if he would have lazarus dip his finger in water and touch the tip of his tongue. Abraham said nay, but there is a great gulf fixed so that Paradise and the Side of Torment was separated. Hades had two sides. When Christ was on the cross and the thief said remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Christ said this Day thou will be with me in paradise. You have to look at psalm 16 in conection w/ Act 2. This is biblical.
