  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Minister John R. Ramsey once wrote,"For sometime a person provide me with a rose boutonniere to pin on the label of my suit every Sunday. Because I always got a flower on Sunday morning, I really didn't think much of it. I appreciated it but in became routine.

One Sunday, what I considered ordinary became very special. As I was leaving the Sunday service a young man approached me. He walked right up to me and said,"Sir, what are going to do with your flower?" At first I did not know what he was talking about, but then I knew and understood. The boy said," I would like it if you are going to throw it away." I smiled and gladly told him he could have my flower, I casually asked him what he was going to do with the flower.

The little boy, who I guess was about 10 years old, looked up at me and said,"Sir I am going to give it to my granny. My mother and father got divorced last year. I was living with my mother, but she married again, she wanted me to live with my father. I lived with him for a while, but after a while he sent me to live with my grandmother.
She is so good to me. She cooks for me and takes care of me. She has been so good to me that I want to give that pretty flower to her for loving me.

When the little boy finished, my eyes filled with tears, and I could hardly speak, I knew that I had been touched in the depths of my soul. I reached up and unpinned my flower. With the flower in my hand, I looked at the boy and said,"that is the nicest thing I have ever heard, but you can't have this flower because it's not enough. If you will look in front of the pulpit, you will see a big bouquet of flowers. Please take those flowers to your granny because she deserves the very best.

If I hadn't been touched enough already, he made on last statement and I will cherish it. He said,"What a wonderful day!"
I asked for one flower But got a whole bouquet.

How often do you brighten up the lives of others with special acts of kindness?
How often do you look for opportunies to touch lives?

You can make a difference in lives of people. You can make a difference in this world. You don't have to be perfect, rich, highly educated, in good health, or exceptionally intelligent.
Reguardless of who you are, where you live,, or how often you have failed, you still can make a difference.

I heard an interesting story one time while I was teaching a Sunday School Class. There was a man walking along the seashore of the ocean and he was throwing starfish back out into the ocean so they could survive and then came along another man saying to him how can you possibly save all the starfish since there are so many of them and the man which already had another starfish in his hand threw that starfish out in the ocean and said, that is another one that is going to live.
