“The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists.” – Charles Dickens

Nothing has baffled my little brain more than staring into the endless heavens on a clear night. Trillions of stars scatter the night sky and declare the handiwork of the Almighty. To imagine that it only required God saying “let there be…” to fling all those stars into place simply amazes me. The Bible does not begin by trying to prove God’s existence but rather begins with that presupposition… He is.

In creation we also find our first glimpse of the Trinity. From eternity past God has revealed Himself with three distinct personalities and persons: Father, Son, and Spirit. Genesis 1:2 reveals the work of the Spirit in creation. Genesis 1:26 reveals the plurality in the expression, “let us”. Later John would state, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” – John 1:1

In seven literal 24 hour days, God created everything from nothing with His spoken word. The Latin phrase Ex Nihilo, “out of nothing”, is used to describe God’s work in creation. He took nothing and made everything. As creative as mankind can be, we can never create like God created; all we can do is use that which was already created by God. The heavens, the plants, the animals, EVERYTHING was created with His spoken word… except one thing: Man.

God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and made him a living soul by breathing in his nostrils the breath of life. The crowning pinnacle of God’s creation, which would have dominion over the earth, was man. Mankind was unique physically but most importantly spiritually… God created us with a soul and spirit.

Don’t ever believe the lie that you were an accident or a mistake. God in His wisdom and love made you in His own image and likeness. Evolution and the lies it tells would have you disbelieve God’s work of creation, and believe that everything is all chance and error. Today remember that God loves you, created you, and has a purpose and plan for your life! There are no accidents with God, and He allowed you to have the parents you had, and determined what year you would enter this world. He purposed you to have the talents and abilities you have, and has placed you where you are for a specific reason. Even today He has design and purpose for everything that comes your way. Make a conscience choice to live for Him today, and use the life He has given you for His glory and your good.

The Catholic church used the latin version of scriptures so the the congregation wouldn't know what scripture says and keep up the mystery. The Latin phrase Ex Nihilo, “out of nothing”, is not used. The greek word used "bara" means to slowly transform something through a deliberate process.

Vulgata Clementina
Genesis 1

Me too. It's like God "spoke" to me through the massive starry sky. I was about 7 at the time. it quieted me and gave me a peaceful sense of awe.

Thank you.

Nope. From my limited perspective, it might appear that I have a choice, but in fact there would be only one logically available option - whichever one Yahweh foresaw me making.

Foreknowledge, or free choice. Pick one. You can’t have both.

I don't have both. I only have choice, God does not.
God only is all knowing, I am not.

I can prove this.

These are the "Facts" about God:

Hebrews 4:13
And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Jeremiah 1:5
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Proverbs 15:3
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.

Acts 1:24
And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen

Matthew 10:30
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

Jeremiah 23:24
Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.

Psalm 147:4
He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names.

You can choose to believe these facts, or not. So both clearly exist.

Our past and future lives are all part of God's memory.

Believe It or Not!

Yes, God formed us:
-“For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb” Psa 139:13
- "I will put ligaments on you, place muscles on you, and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you, and you will live. Then you will know that I am Yahweh." Eze 37:6

Also, Yahweh determines the time and place of our births:
-“And he made from one man every race of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted epochs and the fixed boundaries of the places where they would live;” (Acts 17:26)
