BTW, I decided based on something in Church today that I would visit a Messianic congregation for the first time.

What happened, or should I say, didn't happen, is that as I was watching the sermon online (I couldn't make it into church today) and my pastor is going through Leviticus, and the Day of Atonement came up in his sermon, and he totally whiffed on mentioning that the Day of Atonement way literally yesterday. It was disappointing, to say the least. I asked him once if he thought there still exists promises for the Israeli people, and his response was, "I don't know." Which I thought was weird. And he just seems really apathetic about certain things (like Israel, for example). Anyway, I plan on going to a Messianic congregation next Sunday. I had help finding this place. First, a person I know on X told me a way to find Messianics. Then I called a person who is in my state but does not currently have a church open. From there, he looked for a good congregation to "get my feet wet," as he said it.

I am excited to start something new! It's been too long since I had a sort of paradigm shift. I think I need something to grow into.

Has your pastor gone woke? I hope you find a good Messianic church.

No, I do not see that he has gone woke. He is a bit soft through, like thinking crying because of the Gospel is a good thing. I think crying because of meditating on the Gospel can sometime be an appropriate response, but there are many responses to the Gospel that are valid. Awe, wonder, joy, amazement, etc.

All emotions are valid when reading the Gospel, but if he cries for show, then that is attention seeking.

If you really want to be blessed, find a real Bible believing Jew who has become a born again Christian and refers to himself as such.
That man/woman is worth their weight in gold. They understand so much that we gentiles do not.
I found such a person shortly after salvation and I thank God for that man.

Did you make it to the congregation? Out of interest, they do services on Sunday? That would be a bit odd for most congregations tend to have services on Friday evening or Saturday morning as is Jewish custom for observing the Sabbath. That said, I have seen a few that have services on Sunday in addition, but they are not the same Sabbath service generally.

Whereabouts are you at? I may be able to offer a few recommendations.

Yes, they celebrate on the Lord's Day. Funny enough, I think the church I found actually has a good amount of actual Jews by birth at this congregation. I think one guy said it was roughly about half and half, which is more than most Messianic Congregations, as most have about 80-90% Gentiles. I really enjoyed the service! We had a meal afterwords, which was great! So it seems my Sundays are full to the brim! I will go to my traditional church, then to my parent's house, then to the Messianic Congregation, and then to a meal. By that time, the day is about over!

That's great! Yeah, many (most?) Messianic congregations are largely gentile, upwards of 70% by my limited experience. One of the most "Orthodox" in style that I am aware of is Beth Immanuel in Hudson WI, I believe they are around 50/50 with Jewish members maybe being in the slight majority.

I think someone told me about that Congregation. It's a bit of a long drive for me, however.
