  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Do any of you have kids that watch Yo Gabba Gabba?

What do you think of DJ Lance Rock? Do you find him funny? Scary? Wierd? Entertaining?

What kind of entertainment do you think your child gets out of this show?

If you were throwing your kid a birthday party, would you consider highering a DJ Lance Rock look-a-like to come to the party and entertain the kids for an hour with songs, dances, and activities similar to what's done on the show?

Yo Gabba Gabba! I secretly enjoy it myself. DJ Lance Rock, he finds him entertaining. His favorite character is Plex (or should I say Plex - Plex - ah pa - pa - pa - pa - pa - pa - pa Plex). What he has gotten from the show is internalizing some of the life lessons (example, his food fell on the ground outside one day and he started singing the song "We are the tiny yucky germs, don't eat me" from one of the episodes).

As for hiring a DJ Lance Rock look a like, I think I'd go with a look a like of his favorite character over him.

ROFL. I personally can't stand the show. Doesn't mean my kids aren't allowed to watch it. They are allowed to watch it, I just see it and think what on earth is this RUBBISH. (same with In the Night Garden, Tellietubbies and Boohbah)

Therefore I wouldn't hire anyone like the character from yo gabba gabba. But each to there own I guess.

I have never heard of this show. It's some sort of Canadian pediatric brainwashing, isn't it?

Most normal people won't know about this show. I didn't know about it until I walked in on Pinkguard watching it on Nick Jr. one day. I was pretty horrified by what I was seeing, but she seemed pretty entertained.

Contrary to popular belief, the show is very much American. :) And whoever writes or produces for this show is clearly high on drugs.

Roseguard has a doll of the green monster (Rovy) featured in this clip (which I recall hearing Pinkguard singing to Roseguard while I was feeding her, but I thought she made it up until I saw this clip)

I honestly have not sat down long enough to watch an entire episode!! :D

I'm looking at YouTube videos right now just trying to get a grasp of how insane this show really is!

ROFL. It's insane totally insane.

I can't see any major objections to my kids watching it occasionally, but it's pretty strange.

Neenie, I think that is why I enjoy it so! ^_^
I also grew up in an urban area and I was surrounded by the hip hop culture so I enjoy the beats as well.

Biz Markie is a reg on the show - the guy who was made famous by the words "You - you got what I need, but you say he's just a friend....oh baby yooouuu"

I can't say that I've actually sat down and watched it long enough to know what it's all about. There are a few shows that I just can't handle. Yo Gabba Gabba, The Doodle Bops, Teletubbles.... the list could end up pretty long. Anywho, I asked the kids if they liked it and why and they both said they did and that it was because it is silly. To each his own I guess....

I think the green ones name is Robey...I'm still confused as to what any of their names are really ^_^ My little girls loves it and I think it's a silly, but fun, show. I got her a toy of the green one and it says stuff and sings "There's a party in my tummy". I do like that the show encourages children to not be scared of trying new things..especially new foods..mine's a picky eater.
