Continued from: YHWH's Table (Part 8)

As Pesach was entwined with Hag Matzot, in the previous portion of this study; let's move on to Bikkurim

(CLV) Lv 23:10
Speak to the sons of Israel, and you will say to them, When you come into the land which I am giving to you and reap its harvest, you will bring a sheaf of the firstfruit of your harvest to the priest.

Notice that this was written for when Israel came to the land.

(CLV) Lv 23:11
He will wave the sheaf before Yahweh for acceptance on your behalf. From the morrow of the sabbath the priest shall wave it.

(CLV) Lv 23:12
On the day when you cause the sheaf to wave you will offer (ועשיתם) (Asah) a flawless year-old he-lamb as an ascent (עלה) offering to Yahweh,

The Hebrew word being replaced with the English word "offer" here is Asah. It is, by far, most often translated as "do." It seems that once again the CLV has deviated from their standard of consistent translation.

We have the he-lamb yearling, but no reference to sin.

(CLV) Lv 23:13
together with its approach present (ומנחתו) of two tenths of an ephah of flour mingled with oil, a fire offering to Yahweh, a fragrant odor, and its libation of wine, a fourth of a hin.

Mincha (מנחה) H4503 which means present, or gift.

We have the mincha, but no mention of sin.

(CLV) Lv 23:14
No bread or toasted grain or groats of the new crop shall you eat until this very day, until you bring- the approach (קרבן) present of your Elohim. It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Korban (קרבן) H7133 It stems from the Hebrew word (קרב) (qarab) which means to come near.

No mention of sin.

I'll leave it here. This will be a good start for this portion of this study.
