Continued from: YHWH's Table (Part 10)
In the last portion of this study we covered Shavuot as we continued covering the Moedim outlined in Leviticus 23. This brings us to Yom Teruah. This portion of the study should be short as the Torah’s teaching on this Moed is very brief. I have only been able to find two passages regarding this Moed.
(CLV) Lv 23:23
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying:
(CLV) Lv 23:24
Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, In the seventh month on day one of the month there shall be a cessation for you with a memorial trumpet blast, a holy meeting.
(CLV) Lv 23:25
You shall do no occupational work at all, and you will bring near (והקרבתם) a fire offering to Yahweh.
(קרב) H7126 Karab which means to come near. This is the root of (קרבן) Korban.
(CLV) Num 29:1
In the seventh month, on day one of the month you shall come to have a holy meeting when you shall do no occupational work at all; a day of trumpet blast shall you come to have.
No mention of sin, lamb, Anointed Priest, nor sacrifice.
Shabbat shalom.
