Cleric in the Order of the Protectors of the Forest
Home: Laurelda, the Golden Forest. Yesenia, or Nia as she is nicknamed, enjoys her place as a Protector of the Forest for she loves the woods from which she hails. Her family, also lovers of the woodlands, sought an appointment for her with the Protectors of the Forest. Such must be done when the candidate is a baby, less than a year old. Once the test of infant temptation is passed by the hopeful certain restrictions are placed upon the child and many give up long before their induction day. Not Nia, she loved everything about her life as she learned the skills necessary to become a Protector. She wanted it more than anything, to serve the Creator and to protect her home.

Hair: Black Eyes: Violet Skin: lightly tanned
Nia is lovely, as one might expect an elf to be. Her thick black hair is styled in such a way that allows her freedom of movement, but is still pretty to look upon. Her soft tresses have been coiled into several small braids and and upsweep that allows several whispy tendrils to fall softly about her face and neck. Her wide, violet eyes shine with intelligence and wit. There is even a hint of mischief there. Like other woods dwellers, Nia wears the uniform of the forest, green clothes w/ leather jerkin, bracers and boots all tinted green in color along w/ her leather armor. She carries an intricately carved bow and a quiver full of arrows, but no other weapons. She does have a rather nice knife of fine quality in her boot, but this is never used as a weapon.
Personality:
Nia enjoys simple pleasures; starry nights and a warm fire with good friends and good food content her heart. She has a fine appreciation for a good story or a good song and will even share one or the other with the right encouragement. Her moods can be mercurial at times, but Nia is steady as the ocean tides. Utterly dependable and independent, she is equally comfortable working alone or in a party of competent comrades. Yes, she is a bit intolerant of those not interested in doing their best at whatever it is they set out to do, whether it be a personal endeavor or a professional pursuit. At first meeting Nia is open and friendly, but hesitant to trust. It is hard to get close to the Protector, but once her friendship is earned it is a lifetime committment. For an elf, that's saying a lot! Nia is open with her opinions and shares them without restraint. Some have mistaken this confidence for conceit, but the Protector is actually a rather humble individual.
