Has anyone ever been playing with their kid and the kid, not on purpose, does something that hurts you? If so, what?
Last night, Shadrach and I were playing. He sat up all of a sudden and broke my nose. I have been having nose bleeds all day from the little rascals hard head. I mean, when it hit, my hubby could hear it crack, and him with hearing loss, all the way across the room. It is very sore today. I know that he didn't mean to, but I started crying because it hurt so bad. But, naturally, I was more concerned with him. He got down off my lap, looked at me crying as if to say "What are you crying for?" Then he grinned real big at me and ran away expecting me to chase him. I am not sure how it did not hurt his head.
The kid did the same thing to my dad one time. It did not hit his nose, but he hit the cheek bone. My dad, an ex marine, said that he was seeing stars for quite some time afterwards. You could hear that across the room too. He just got down, once again and started to run away, expecting him to chase him.
It always scares me when he does that. I am worried that he is going to knock himself out one of these days. But he seems to be unaffected. And he has the most incredible pain tolerence for a kid his age. My grandma, who raised 8 kids said that it is just that he is 100% boy and that they are rough and tough like that. But it still worries me.
