My tag is BowFish though I don't play much on Live!. I'm getting Halo rigged up for online play, and I plan on buying Pandora Tomorrow soon. I also have Counter-Strike. I've played Crimson Skies before but I didn't like it enough to buy it :s - maybe I will anyway since a lot of my friends play it.

I can't wait until Starcraft Ghost and Halo2 release, when they do I'll probably be onlive much more often.

How? Do you mean via a 3rd party app on your PC or is there a way to make it work on "live"?

Do tell. I've done it through my PC but it was way laggy as there were no players near me at the time :(

For me I'm going to get Live when the following I have a job and Halo2 comes out.

i dont get how u can rid halo up for xbox live, when its not xbox live enabled! it has a multiplayer i no, but thats only for more controllers or a system link, not live! I also have halo and CS, both great games! i also have Tony Hawk's underground, DDR Ultra Mix, and Enter the Matrix and Amped. i dont have xbox live yet, but i have 2 of those free 2-month trial things, now all i need to to rig up an internet connection!

Well, you don't play Halo through Live, but you can play if you hook up the system link cable through a router into your computer. Get online with your computer, download xboxconnect, tunnel, or warpipe. Just type it in google or a search engine and you should find it. After all that's done you should be ready to play - be sure to turn off all your firewalls. Um, I'm a part of a gaming community and there are several (like 3-5) of us that play through this - just e-mail me if you'd like to game and I'll be more than happy to teach you a few lessons in Halo ;) lol just teasing

Hey guys, I have an Xbox, although at the moment I don't have Xboxlive because I live in the country and I can only get dial up, but I'm moving soon so I'm getting DSL. At the momment I don't have any good games to play. But I'm really looking forward to Fable, Starcraft Ghost, Halo2...

Fable will own for sure.

is xboxconnect free? it seems like a great concept, especialy because i totaly forgot about hookin up my xbox to my computer insted og my tv, that way we dont have to run a new internet line to the tv to hook up xbox live!
You would still have to hook up your xbox to a router, that is connected to a pc.

btw, im sorta new with xbox, but i heard that each xbox has its own name, how do u c the name?
On DOA 3 when you get the high score name it what you want your xbox to be. You can do it on a few games, but thats the only one I know how to do it.

Or if you dont want to fork out for a router (if you have no other need for one) then just buy a second network card.

Then network card 1 goes to your ADSL modem (and enable net sharing on that NIC)

Then network card 2 goes to your Xbox VIA.... and this is the important bit to remember.... VIA A CROSS OVER NETWORK CABLE (also known as pier to pier). (Any good IT store will know what one is)(in fact its the same cable you'd use to connect 2 Xboxs without using a Hub (dont that as well:) ).

This gets rid of the need for a hub or router if you only have 2 systems connected.

Works a treat and much cheeper than the router option.

Yeah I think Halo displays the name if you go into the link up game options.

My mates Xbox has a really cool name like Pirtate or something... while mine is called something like "James".

Anyone know if you can change the name? lol.

In responce to your other post.... unless your PC or monitor has AV in, you'lll still need a TV in the room as well..I think)

Also see my other post above.
