  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Coldplay Announce Details of New Album

Rob Kleckner reports:
When he's not busy fathering Apple and providing for Gwyneth, Chris Martin fronts Coldplay, a band with which you may be familiar. We reported a few weeks ago that the quartet announced some details of their third album, and now we're back with more.

Coldplay's official site has announced that the album, called X&Y, will be released on June 6 in the UK and June 7 in North America. A couple of weeks earlier, on May 23, "Speed of Sound" will be released as the first single. The band have already mentioned that one of their influences for this album is Kraftwerk, and that can be heard in the song "Talk", which borrows the melody to "Computer Love" and everything else from U2. The album was produced by Danton Supple and Ken Nelson, as well as by the members of Coldplay themselves. Charts and graphs:

01 Square One
02 What If
03 White Shadows
04 Fix You
05 Talk
06 X&Y
07 Speed of Sound
08 A Message
09 Low
10 The Hardest Part
11 Swallowed in the Sea
12 Twisted Logic
