Alright, this feature is back - BUT only for members viewing this site with Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.

When you click on "New Thread" or "Post Reply" you will now get a WYSIWYG post editor similar to MS Word - you will see what your post is going to be like straight away - "what you see is what you get".

It will be very easy to choose fonts, font size, font color, cut and paste, as well as post links, bullets, numbering etc.

Ctrl-B for Bold and Ctrl-I for Italic MS Word shortcuts work too. vBCodes will still work. The automatic smilie panel works just the same as before. Try it out now!

This will automatically show up for members using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher - members using other browsers will see the normal posting screen.

I had to go back and spend ten minutes editing all the size fonts and other unwanted garbage out of a long post......is there ANY way to permanently shut this monster off??? It may be an absolutely Smurfy little application, but frankly I find it to be nothing more than a major irritation.

Sorry, I'm just an electronic Luddite.....:)

Thanks Erwin, I like this feature!

s0uljah, and Wolsely, You can turn this feature off by going to your control panel (upper right of your screen) look under options, and you will see a section called other options just above your avatar image. you can disable it there if you don't want to use it.

Okay - by default, all members using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher will have this option switched ON.

If you want to switch it OFF, go to User Control Panel, then to Options, and switch the "WYSIWYG Posting Interface" to NO.

Only people using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher will see the option to switch it off. :)
