WWMC/CC Congregation Conflict

Hi,

The members of WWMC want for us to reconsider our policy of not allowing members of WWMC to be members of our forum as well.

Since they're not really allowed to debate here, I thought I'd start the thread myself.

How do you feel about this? Is this a policy you're willing to reconsider?

I see no reason to allow "membership" in both, as the tenets are typically diametrically opposed to one another. You can't believe in both at the same time. It's like trying to say, "I'm a Christian atheist" - doesn't make sense.

Yeah, there is that much difference.

Yes, and free/open membership is a liberal position, which is why it makes sense there, not here.

If you asked for my advice, I would say that defining yourselves in opposition to something is not a wise way of doing things. But you certainly have the right to do so as long as it does not conflict with the core rules.

Letalis, the same principle applies. I don't go to OBOB or Taw or any other like forum to debate because they have the right to debate their views not mine. Liberals are not allowed to debate in the fundamentalist forum either but they are welcomed to fellowship.
Liberals are welcomed to fellowship in CC but are not allowed to debate. If they want to debate, there is a debate forum for that reason.

This is what comes of allowing liberals to post here,and not making perfectly clear what we want "Conservative Christian" forum to mean! Who cares what the members of WWMC want?

I haven't been to WWMC much since the 777 debacle but since when do they allow conservatives to debate there? Or did I miss something?

Our membership is based on belief, not merely conservative moral and ethical standards.

Plus you know they only want to come here to flame us as always,and cause dissention! "Babes in Christ" need a "safe" haven where they will not be exposed to liberal false doctrines!
