  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hehe, I like the following:

Skitt’s Law
Expressed as "any post correcting an error in another post will contain at least one error itself

I've noticed the truth of this law concerning grammar and punctuation corrections countless times. Never seems to fail.

And this one is just beautiful:

Danth’s Law (also known as Parker’s Law)
States: “If you have to insist that you've won an internet argument, you've probably lost badly.”

As an example, dad seems to "win" every argument he's ever participated in.

And lol!!!!!:

five exclamation marks is an indicator of "someone who wears their underwear on the outside"

Peter

Here's what Poe's Law actually says: "At least one person in the world is stupid" (as evidenced by serious responses to a couple of "MorkandMindy"'s recent posts in this forum):

So Poe's Law is correct, but it's not saying what you think it's saying.
ok where does poe's law say that? when people say "i think its a poe" it means "i don't know if this guy is for real or not"

poe's law itself says nothing about anyone being stupid, are you a bit butthurt by mork posing as a creationist?

well done, you never seek to amaze me in your ability to suck all the humor and insight out of something, even if that isn't your intent

edit:i agree with goodbytes you are poe's law in action, you've proven too many times that you have no problem believing things even more silly than the last. its not about ignorance its about the fact that people will believe anything as long as it makes them feel safe and doesn't damage their superego.
so if a person believes things that other people find crazy, even up the ante later, its hard for people to gauge if a person is joking or not, since they could very well believe that crazy belief, along with all the others.

do you see its not about ignorance but a humorous observation about peoples assessment of crazy beliefs?

I don't find 1/100th of what you guys say or stand for as humorous --- and even less as insightful.

thats what most people say when they fail to get the joke or bother to give much thought to what they criticize.

coming from a guy who doesn't bother to learn anything about a subject they flat out with no reservation deny and he says he doesn't care to learn. it doesn't surprise me one bit that your response would be something along the lines of this AV.

i could very well say your post could be about yourself AV. then again i would be lying about half of that, i find all your posts funny, despite your intention of course:D

Pft. Neophyte. Do not speak upon subjects where you are so clearly misinformed!!
