Wrong to do?

Do you feel its wrong that your friends say they wont treat you any differently when you tell them something, then they do treat you differently?

I am having that problem now. My "friends" dont treat me the same anymore, like they once use to. I told them I am an SIer (luckily I havent done that in a week), and then told them I am going to get help. They seemed happy about it. I figured after that point things would change and turn around for me. Well, they didnt seem like they did.

My friends use to wait for me after class so we would all walk out together..they dont do that anymore. They use to always talk to me and I always use to know everything that was going on..now they dont. They use to text me a lot, just to talk...now they dont.

I find this very hurtful. How do they expect me to change when I do not have their support? They say they do..but they are treating me like an outcast...its like High School all over again.

Do you feel its wrong that they are doing this to me?
Any words and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Maybe its just that they don't know how to support you and what to say that would help. Maybe try talking to them and finding why they're behaving like that. Maybe they don't mean to hurt you.

It is hard but alot of people just don't understand about SI and so will withdraw from a friendship because they don't know how to deal with the situation. Most likly it is because they don't want to hurt you by saying the wrong thing and they just dont realise that by not talking to you they are hurting you even more...try talking to them but be careful that you don't come across as acusing just ask them if they feel like things are different and why they think that is...

Yes i do think it's wrong.

If you say you're going to do something, then that's what you should do.

It's not right to say something just to appease you, then turn around and act differently. I want to say i hate that in people, but I'll say i really dislike it.

How can you believe someone that has lied to you?

They did it once. What's to say they won't do it again.

Unless of course they apologize, ask for forgiveness.
So I guess my answer would be ; No, I wouldn't like it.
